Why don't you use light-dash on the rings? It gets you extra points and makes you go faster. Just press the Xbox button when you get to them.

you can listen to the fanboys too you know, i'm one... but there is no way i can ignore everything that is wrong in this game... glitches, frame rate drops and more, way more... i may be a HUGE sonic fan... but i am also an honest gamer, and even though i own this game, and liked it somewhat... it is not a good one, trust me. hurts to say something bad about sonic... but this is the truth, you're better off waiting until a "real" sonic game is on the way.

I normally hated the Superspeed Stages since for me it tends to be way too easy to die through either accidentally hitting obstacles that you barely see (Watch out for that *BAM!* Tree!!!). The Light Dash trick is usually useful since it leads you in a safe direction and nets you a good bunch of rings while you're at it.

Not really. Now, Shadow was good, I liked the game, hated several things about it. It wasn't too violent on the first part, and it wasn't truely a 3rd person shooter, you could just as easily go through the game without ever using a weapon, you rarely HAD to use them. The camara and controls where crappy and I hated the slow speed, but then again no 3d sonic game (other than adventure1 and 2) has remotely satisfied my view of their speed. This one is slow too.
