Martin DelRay , Without a doubt one of the most talented Musician / Singers of recent times. Have his albums , saw him on stage in Austin .One of the most talented and tasteful Guitar players I've ever encountered . Tons of class & personality , a voice good as any in the biz today, pleasantly humble . This guy's the real thing , he can handle the beautiful real music.
I can tell everyone for a fact that Martin no longer tours. He is also not a tennis pro in Georgia. He still happily lives in Tenn with his Wife Cindy and daughter McKenna. If people had bought his records in the first place he would still be recording.

I, for one, have 2 CDs by Martin, "Get Rhythm" and "What Kind Of Man". For me these are musical treasure as Martin was one of the greatest country acts I had heard in years when his music was being released. For the likes of me do not understand why some of these other artists were chosen over Martin. He was 'COUNTRY' at its best!
well, he actually does tour occasionally...he is performing Saturday, 3/26/11, at 7 pm in Hartselle, Al. Huntsville area radio has always been great about playing traditional country and you can still hear Martin's songs from the 90's playing frequently. Thanks, Carol Lynn!
@mcksmom Hello Carol Lynn, Wish I could be there to see Martin perform in Hartselle,AL! Martin is a shining star to me in country music and will remain so. His music is some of the very best around still today! Surely do wish there would be more traditional country stations across the country. I miss my real 'country' music!
@boots1953...oh, I better clarify. Carol Lynn is the DJ in Al who loves Martin and other great country artists. She plays what she feels is true country and doesn't pay attention to who the labels are pushing her to play - unless she likes the artist and feels it meets her format for what she considers to be "country music." It is refreshing to know that there are a few radio stations and program directors out there who stay out of the pockets of the record labels! Thanks!

The sound that comes out of Nashville today is not worthy of being called country music!
