Yeah what a lucky son of a gun! Owning a Mooney has been a dream of mine since I was a kid reading Flying and Plane and Pilot at the local news stand. Maybe because they *do* build fast airframes, and who doesn't want to go fast? You just know too from how they do business that owning and flying one of their aircraft will be a completely rewarding experience.
Maybe someday hehe. Right now I'm still building hours renting a Skyhawk a couple of times a month.
I own a Mooney and I"m happy with it. Rather than condier it fast, I consider it fuel efficient. When you put it up against similar speed planes you're usually comparing big-engine twins like the Baron, etc with twice the fuel burn. It does a good job of getting me up and over the Sierra Nevada mountains.
i wish i could have a mooney but i have a cherokee my mentor has a mooney rocket and he complains when he gets 150 k i would be excited to see 120 k in the cherokee lol
I hope Mooney doesn't die. They no longer make new airplanes and are down to a staff of ~10 people! Hard times for GA and Mooniacs especially.
