  • This is not a gasifier. This is a wood stove.

A gasifier heats wood (or coal) in the absence of oxygen. Gases are given off from the wood in destructive distillation.

    Google search: "wiki coal gas"

What you have is a wood burning stove

Youtube search: MAKING BIOCHAR: with Peter Hirst of New England Biochar

And you will see someone who made an actual gasifier.

  • you could have let it burn, it would have burn the biochard and you would have been left with just ashes...

It seems to be a very efficient stove, and you could have also fed more fuel wood, cow dong cake, rice husks, etc to keep it going. what if you had put in a candle? the wax would have made it burn hotter and longer right? have you guys tried it with a duraflame? to see what happens? have you guys used saw dust? or starbucks used coffee grounds?

  • someones been watching to much of "the colony"

  • @NewcombeEditing Nah this is a project we're doing through uni..

  • @brentondeane well at least you know how to run a car when we run out of oil
