  • @Spince28 This describes what 99% of players need to work on! Good for you!

  • GREAT! this is exactly what Ive been trying to push on my players!

  • @TimProvise Awesome, glad I could help!

  • This is a great video!! I will definitely be sharing it with my team...thank you so much for all of your videos and words, its been a great help in my first year as a head coach!!

  • @Jasmine5342002 Absolutely my pleasure, thanks for your kind words and support!

  • PRESENT PLAYERS R THE GREATEST.

  • @bigmuscleify Thank YOU!

    Love your squad.

  • @DoJoStan Check the other videos on our channel!

  • Awesome speech.. helped me A LOT!

Btw do you recommend foamrollers, and if you do how big? :D

Thanks for the video, wanna share it with my team.

  • @susokyotoMEGAMAN Thanks, glad you liked the Play Present message. Yes, I love foam rollers... use them with all of my clients! I use the 3' ones from Perform Better....

  • Ouchh... Deep lol.. You nailed it coach we need more Alan Steins Imma kidnap you and clone you lol

  • @TheVincedagreat Thanks, I appreciate you! However, I didn't come up with the Play Present concept... I learned it from a colleague.... but now I preach it!

  • @StrongerTeamDotCom Doesnt matter coach the way you speak opens up eyes and hearts and that is just as important. What good is a concept when people cannot understand fully and use em right? :D

  • @TheVincedagreat I appreciate you :)

  • Coach, I appreciate your speech, but now I know what to do, the problem is the HOW? I don't know how to apply it, I mean, I can't focus, I'm always thinking about things I can't control, HOW?

  • @Infraverse YOU have to figure out the HOW... YOU control EVERY thought you have!

  • does the camera man have parkinsons? lol

  • @MillerCard2014 OMG... as 'wrong' as that is... too funny :)

  • i love this video it keeps me burning !

  • @kevindesalesa I'm so glad to hear that, thanks!

  • Discipline, Attitude, Toughness and Effort! Game day is all about the DATE! Great message Alan. Keep them coming.

  • @SMARTERTeamTraining Thanks coach, I always appreciate your support!

  • When amazing happens, regards from Spain!

  • @leoavramov Gracias amigo!

  • I was there in, person, during this speech...and loved it! This is one of the most frustrating things about coaching and its nice for kids to hear it from someone like Coach Stein! The higher level our kids play, the less time we have to waste on thinking bout the past or over-thinking the future. Effort and Attitude, control it.

  • @CoachErnieClark Thanks coach, I appreciate YOU!

  • Nice!!

  • @123ThatOneGuy123 Thanks!!

  • This whole clip i'm putting on my phone to play for my team later at practice THANKS ALOT

  • So deep thanks Coach Stein.

  • @beastfrog20 My pleasure, thank YOU!

  • I had the pleasure to hear this live in Richfield, MN with my son. I hope he was at least half as inspired as I was. Glad to relive it through this video (from a different location). I wish I had it on my ipod to play on the way to practice and games.

Letting go of the past and present is not just a solid approach in basketball, but a great approach in all areas of life. I try to focus only on what I can control, since trying to control things outside of my influence drives me insane!

  • @davidwilliams75 Thanks, I really and truly appreciate your support.

  • This talk is great! I truly shows mental toughness. This can be interperated for any spor, whether football, or baseball, or basketball. Great words coach!!

  • @TheMsmit09 Thanks, I really appreciate your support!

  • This helped! Congrats from Portugal!

  • @M5Diaz Gracias! :)

  • nice tee! keep posting them videos, im 28 years old and still learning heaps from your stuff

  • @andno23 Wow, thanks! I am honored to help!

  • As usual, great stuff coach. Thanks for all you for those of us who work with athletes!

  • @travisfoster7 Thanks, I really appreciate your kind words and am honored to help.

  • This is such a great video. Playing present is such a important key to mental toughness. But I have heard/found that there are other critical factors that contribute to dominating games and harnessing your full mental capabilities. Could you do some more videos on mental toughness because i feel that it is something that holds me back dramatically from playing at my full potential--especially seeing though i know i can play better because i am consistently on the court working on my game.

  • @BaLLeRAl05 I appreciate your feedback. Feel free to check out the archive at Blog dot Stronger Team dot com for additional info on mental toughness and playing present...

  • This is a great concept for youth players to help them become better not just in basketball but in life. I hope to relay the same theory to my boys at our first practice.

  • @lsfii I appreciate your support!

  • great speech - well done

  • @only1nabil Thank YOU!

  • Wow.. My God.. I've never thought anyone knew how I really felt in games, This might be my problem. I get all my attention to the surroundings and keep playing in the past. I'm shocked. Thank You man, you are really a great person and you know what you are talking about! StrongerTeamcom may be the best thing that has happened to me!

  • @Infraverse Thanks for your feedback, I am honored to help...

  • I really want you to train me

  • @rodrigouribe15 Hopefully you can come to one of my Cutting Edge Clinics in 2012!
