Played this song in front of teachers and the Russian dance instructor stood up spontaneously and danced a ballet to the song while I played! LOL It's a really fun song to play throughout
I just uploaded a video I recorded of music from the Nutcracker played on piano by 20th century modern classical music composer, Professor Walter S. Hartley. It was his last selection at his final piano recital before he retired from teaching at SUNY Fredonia, March 1, 2000, Adams Art Gallery, Dunkirk, NY.
this is incredible! i need to find a solo version of the waltz. does anyone know what the piece is that plays at the beginning and ending of this video when the credits come on?
oh God, where can i have the free sheet music of this? I badly need it! This is so beautiful!!!!!! having goosebumps!! wow, this is really GOOD!!!!!!!!!.. i love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! please anybody help where i can have a free sheet music of this?? huhuh
Boy, I must be smoking some bad dope. I thought this was supposed to be Deaf Leopard. Just kidding. Both of you are just marvelous. Great forearm technique. Love it!
That was sooo cool!!! I remember playing the solo version of this when I was in highschool! I was nowhere near as cool, but this is a very good composition. I get happy whenever I listen to it.
on the side, click on "Tchaikovsky- The Nutcracker Suite for piano solo", its even better than this one! great work, both of you!.... *still watching... so good i forgot to post* woah, look at her hands at 4:13
I never played piano in my entire life(48 years) and someone gave me an upright piano in fall 2009 that needs a slight tune-up.I've tried it and was able to figure out some songs within 2 to 3 hours...not as sophisticated as this, but,I would'nt mind to give it a try.It is such a beautifull display of team work.I never thought that I would like classical music. This performance tickled my curiosity...
Hello, I'm from Brazil. I've played the part of Waltz of the Flowers as a teenager, he studied piano at the time. It's just amazing this song, captivating. Congratulations to the two pianists in this video, very well interpreted the waltz.
Possibly the Best Interpretation of this piece ever. The dynamics, Tempo, Everything, Your hands Glide over the keys, like your not even touching them at parts, Just beautiful :D <3
I told myself last year that my goal for this summer would be to learn this piece completely. Your performance is so incredible. I can only hope to become half so accomplished at this. My version is for 2 hands, but this is just...breathtaking. I applaud you!
the way pianoman37 that you are playing this waltz is how tchaikovsky wanted this to be played this is perfect he wrote this during his dark era when he was battling depression amazingly enough good pieces do get written in a persons worst of times your rendition of this song is great and your partner is awesome as well great playing guys
I am just speechles. I didn't know piano version to that wonderful piece even exists, but that isn't a mere piano version. It expresses all the beauty and cleverness of this piece without omitting anything from the experience.
i am 14 years old. grade 7piano, played since i was 5, and i think this is one of the most beautiful pieces ever to play on the piano, and one of the most technially challenging, to make it sound like your own.
I am from Greece and believe me I play the piano for 6 years and I think that this is one of the most beautiful pieces i ve ever heard!just wonderful!this is a waltz!
eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! what a s**t is this? it is saposed to be a WALTZ. and you know in europe we mean something by this. Not another asian folk-song.
@lexsis1901 Agreed, 100%, and I know children a lot younger than 14 who know more about music... like a 6-year-old who I babysit. The state of the world today... does he even know what waltz means? Because that would be REALLY sad.
i've been looking for a solo version too. i found a whole book of the nutcracker suite, but i don't know how the version really is. but sooner or later i'll get this duet and someone else to play with me, because i'm pretty sure the solo is a lot different from the duet, which is a beast.
to bluetiger546: It's an illusion. The piano on the right would have had its lid taken off for the performance so as not to block the sound (this is why piano soloists always perform with the orientation of the left piano)
Is this a double ended grand?. i only see one lid and at 5:50 it looks like one long case, not 2 grands side by side. Maybe its an illusion..but it seriously looks like they are playing at 2 ends of a double grand piano.
Hi, I'm not a piano player, and I'll have a naive question : when playing this kind of duet, I guess there should be a leader, in order to keep players well in time with one another.
