  • when i hear luther i always want some chicken

  • wtf?!

  • I think what I love most about this song is that my children love it and they're 5 & 2 years old

  • incredible!

  • Saaang it Lutha!

" I can't fool myself, I don't want nobody else to ever love me

You are my shinin' star, my guiding light, my love fantasy". RIP master!

  • ahhh i love this guy, can't believe hes gone i just heard of him!! and can't believe he was never married. i wonder if this song was written for anybody specifically

  • No one likes to hear it, but Luther Vandross was never married because he was gay. Which does NOTHING to diminish the power of his music and the impact he had on so many lives with his voice. Gay Hollywood write Bruce Vilanch told a magazine, "He was way 'in' (the closet). He said to me, 'No one knows I'm in the life.'"

But Vilanch admits Vandross was careful not to make his private life public. He adds, "He had very few sexual contacts."

It is what it is...and it shouldn't matter.

  • you are correct that that he impacted the lives of others - but there is no such proof that he was gay. I find it funny that all these gay folks (no offense) wait until he dies to make such a claim. all online articles are "he said, she said." either way, people will think what they want and believe what they want. but we all have a common knowledge. Vandross is amazing and will be missed.

  • You're right in that there was no proof. In the same way there was no proof that Liberace was gay. LOL...I mean, I love Luther (big Luther AND little Luther. not everyone loved little Luther :P), but it was pretty obvious. And I think it says a lot about how much those folks respected Luther's desire for privacy...especially Bruce Vilanch, who WAS a close friend of Luther's, NOT to say anything while he lived. I'm not gay, but I think no one in America should have to live in shame of themselves.

  • a million day in you arms is never to muchhhhhhhh! :D

  • esse video do luther vandross's é demais curto muito.

  • beautiful voice, beautiful man. World lost a great one when he died.

  • Luther knows how to play his cards right :)

  • the guy on the bike.. 2:09 look really funny how he moves his head!! lol..

  • my fav all time by vandross.. rip luther!! we love u!!

  • Listening to music like this makes me really depressed. What happened? What happened to music being GOOD?

Seriously, who is one of the biggest selling R&B "singers" right now? T-Pain!

    How disgusting is that?

What a forlorn and yet ever arrogant generation of youth.

Maybe one day music will get back to being good, but if that day never comes we'll always have the songs of Luther Vandross.

  • I can't really disagree. Some good music by real musicians back in the day.

  • R.I.P

  • help somebody!!! I had this LP back in the day and there were no credits as I recall. Does anybody know who did what who played what who arranged @ produced. Info would be greatly appreciated.

  • OH MY GOD !!!! OH MY GOD !!!! <3<3<3<3<3

  • Anyone thinks he might be related to Carlton Banks from The Fresh Prince of Bel Air? :D

  • this song was on Grand theft auto vice city.

  • Luther was truly amazing. All of his songs were great and his voice was so smooth and easy on the ears.

  • because its good music. good music is universal it doesnt have a race

  • why are so many white people listening to vandross?

  • I think because he was insanely popular in the early 80s' and during that time R&B/soul was on an equal playing field as pop music in terms of popularity.

People just never came off Luther since and he just kept belting out hit after hit. Sadly he's no longer with us; but it says something about his music when people are still listening to it after his death.

  • true, i usually come off after belting it out hit after hit as well

  • would it be better if a white blind person listened?

    don't be ignorant 8gub

  • it was a joke, dont be so sensitive. but if you want to be that way, then no. it would be better if a black deaf person listened.

  • The song is just beautiful.

  • I just got the Love Luther box set and it's a nice collection,R.I.H. Luther!

  • I LOVE YOU KITA

  • They just dont make them like this anymore
