you know, i see u finding alot of coins, i found most of my coins by banking them ... took 150 bucks went and got rolled coins looked thru them rolled em back up took em back did all over again of course i dont have a metal detector yet so thats all i have to do

what do you mean by "bands" on the merc's?

On the back of the dime you see a bundle of wood around an axe, the bands are the rope that ties all of the wood togeather. Usuially they are the first thing to get worn off with time.

I now own a Bounty Hunter Tracker IV that my wife gave me for my birthday. It is my first metal detector and I have been having a blast digging up my own backyard here near Long Beach, Ca. I have found about 30 coins so far in my backyard, nothing old or silver yet.

I am still working on the backyard and will move on to the park at the end of the street and will maybe post a video if i find anything. Will let you all know if I find any wheaties or silver.

I like my Bounty Hunter from wal mart,got it 3 years ago and love it! Found lots of silver coins in local parks,walking libery halves,silver quarters, gold chains,rings,nothing big,but gold nonetheless. Parks and playgrounds yield good for me,my yard had nothing! good luck!
