  • So cool. We have so many questions: the trees, what kind are they? Will they be fully leafed out in spring/summer? The water you're driving through, is it at its lowest point of the year? When do the waters rise?

    We know you have a job to go to there, but boy, we want to see all the videos . . .

  • @ElmiraOregon Thanks so much for your interest and feedback! We're glad we can share with others the amazing scenery!

    There are lots and lots of different trees, but generally Windhoek is surrounded by acacias. Little tiny leaves. But we're not totally sure. Some of them "flower" (fuzz ball) first, and now the leaves are coming. The water is higher than normal because it rained a lot, but it will continue to drop until late Oct or early Nov, then "the rainy season" comes...

  • So cool. Just looking out from that veranda you get that feeling of "this is Africa".

  • @brounst keep checking back if you're interested in seeing more - I have 5 or 6 more to get through. Playing catch-up - there's so much to see...
