  • Col but ya should but a link in the description for the book ya got it frome

  • Did he just say it's not very good at range? The why the f is it called a 'scope'. Call it night vision reading glasses instead.

  • 1:23 Kitty!!!

  • is darth vader the camera man

  • i would be interested in the video if the man talking wasnt gasping for breath.. :/

  • @Hydr075 what are you talking about? that's just how I talk...

  • @Hydr075 very disrespectful

  • @Therileynator rofl the video is from 2008

  • @Therileynator kipkay stole it frm a book. in one of his vids, he says he has a 'secret' book he found in his basement, which is available at my library. lol

  • @16Metallaro12 possibly but I really don't know

  • @coolbluelights ok thanks a lot, can you tell me the links you've done to connect the viewfinder of the camera?

only the colors of the wires connected .

  • @16Metallaro12 can't really do that, every viewfinder is different, on mine the wires are all gray, so you have to experiment till you find the wires that work. use low voltage.

  • @coolbluelights hello man,

can i have a plant of this night vision.?

  • @16Metallaro12 I don't have any plans for it, it was built by trial and error

  • what is the song called at the beginneing lol i cant spell

  • @nintendo508 it's the X files theme

  • @coolbluelights thnx

  • oh...just simply attach a infrared flashlight on your camera

  • wath is the song in the beginning called

  • @allesgoedenmetu xfiles theme

  • nice next step is to use an image intensify tube

  • X files NICE

  • what kind of camera did you use for the viewfinder. awesome video btw

  • @otacon451 I used the camera from an old Tyco Videocam

  • Lol you got this from kipkay nice work :D

  • @yum499 did you not see the BOOK I showed???? !!!! I MADE THIS IN 2006 BEFORE KIPKAY WAS EVEN BORN!!!11!1!!1!!!!!!1one!!1111eins1!11!1!1111!!!!!uno

  • @coolbluelights Kipkay is only 4 years old and he's already creating his own night vision goggles and laser lighters?

    HOLY SHIT! IT'S FUCKING DEXTER!

  • kipkay must've stolen it from you! GENIUS! lol

  • Oh haha nvm disregard last comment

  • @darkhalo153 thaaaannnk youuuu ;)

  • Isn't that the same one Kipkay made?

  • im not saying it bad jut i hate this song creepy lol

  • @slade829 it only plays for 1.5 seconds lol

  • @slade829 no one cares...

  • @slade829

Are you a justin bieber fan?

  • @238lamain hell freaken no

  • hey thevudiya, you have stolen thisvideo from kipkay. he is my favourite.

  • @9550raja read the motherfucking description and annotations you illiterate piece of shit!!!! I'm sick of you retards saying I stole this from kipkay!

  • could u send me the blueprint that would be helpful bagger@live

  • ur a balloonknot kid

  • @lunaticasai um wut? that makes absolutely no sense...

  • nice man keep up the inventions !!!!!!

  • it looks like the one by kipkay

  • @skullteen27 Because Kipkay is an inventor and not a ripoff artist, right?

    Right, fuck off.

  • @Nightrazr geez wtf all i said was tht it looks like the one from kipkay u dont need 2 b an ass bout it

  • Is the connectionboard original? I mind, did you use the connectionboard from videocamera, or you made it by yourself and made it smaller? The board looks homemade.

Sorry for my English, but I hope it's clear what I'm talking about.

  • @YSSproperty I made the connection board myself. your english is fine :)

  • i posted a video respost. It's my nightvision that i done.

I always wanted to use the camera viewfinder, but i didn't know how, after seeing kipkay, i searched the internet, and make mine =)

Looks like yours, but i used 8x aaa 1,2 volt rechargeable battery, can work for 4 consecutive hours in dark.

  • nice

  • Your wiring looks a lot better than mine. I used an image intensifier powerd by a flyback with a flyback driver circuit. Gen 1 is not much fun but it works fine

  • you got that from kipkay but still nice love it and if u could make it more compact can u tell me how pls

  • @MrRcpaintballer10 I DID NOT GET THIS FROM KIPKAY I never ever even heard of him and I didn't even have internet at the time I made it (2006) pay attention to the annotations!!!

  • @coolbluelights o ok cool u should try to make it compact that would be cool and ok but were did u get the thing (paper manul thing) to make it?

  • @MrRcpaintballer10 I got it at a bookstore. and that's not a bad idea to make it more compact, I should really do that

  • how do you make one to look in the sky for ufos? how do you get more range?

  • @loveisnow2 you need a generation 3 genuine night vision scope for that. to increase the range of the one I built I would add more infrared LED's.

  • who gives a fuk when he built it or where he got the idea, the fact is he built it himself and did a great job of it.WELL DONE DUDE,how far can you see whit in darkness.

  • TO ALL HATERS: he sais that he build this a year ago, but posted this video only a month later than kipkays video, so he acctually build it before kipkay, but we can not be sure if this is true, but you cant be totally sure he stole it from kipkay.

lol and while i was writing this i had a strange brittish accent in my head that was telliing me what to write

  • @FxFilmsProductions um ok... I built this in 2006. if people can't take my word for it I feel sorry for them. the book I got it from is copyright 2005 I believe, and I can PROVE it!

  • I think you have to learn how to speak...

    Yeah.

  • @SolalChabauty I tend to speak a lot slower than I think, just a side effect of being smart. not all of us are gifted with articulate speech.

  • 73,502 views? wow! i will keep upload videos

  • Kipcay

  • Retard! read the annotations!

  • Epic German music~

  • Dude , this is good , i like it !

The good part ... i know how to do it but i dont have the Parts lol.

So what else can i use for a viewer ?

  • there really isn't anything else you could use, an old viewfinder works best

  • Thanks a lot , im gonna see if i can find one somewhere hehe ^^.

  • i'm trying to make an IR scope for my airsoft sniper, now i plan on using a separate IR emitter so I'm trying to figure out how exactly to incorporate the IR "filter" onto the scope...

Think you could help or throw some ideas around?

    Thanks in advance mate!

  • well, you need an electronic camera to be able to see IR, no amount of filtering is going to make you able to see it with your eye. also the range is going to be limited unless you can make some kind of infrared "Spotlight"

  • @coolbluelights & @salopy0

I plan on just taking apart the NVG's i got from modern warfare 2 and incorporating those camera & screen parts into the scope & I was also planning on making a separate spotlight that i could just mount somewhere & take up position somewhere else to snipe, I guess my major question now is how to attach the camera set up onto the scope

  • NVG you got from modern warfare 2? 0.o I got modern warfare 2... it doesn't come with NVG...

  • @coolbluelights

I bought the prestige edition... it comes with a pair of working IR goggles....

  • @asdtech153

actually you don't want an Ir filter because it would filter out the ir light you desire to illuminate where you would be looking

  • Why is there "Bap" in the end? :D

    LMAO

  • I like Bap :D

  • @coolbluelights How did you discovered this unusual music with the typical dialect from cologne?

  • I watched a video by someone in Germany who used that song, commented on the song, then we became friends and he sent me the song :) I speak some German, but I can't understand that cologne dialect :P all I know is verdamp lang her means "Damn long ago" ^^

  • @coolbluelights Well I live 100 Kilometers away from Cologne and I don't understand every word in "Kölsch" (the dialect from Cologne) :D But the worst German dialect is spoken in Saxonia :D There is a short joke about that people:"What's the difference between a turkish immigrant in Germany and a Saxon? The immigrant Can speak German and has an employment." (I know, it's a bad joke :D )

  • lol :D yes American English has its dialects too, but everyone understands everyone. some southerners can be hard to understand till you get used to it though ^^ That's funny, you have turks, we get mexicans who don't speak english well :D

  • How can that be? I think American is a dialect itself. It is mutually intelligble (with other English dialects because it does not require extra studying effort).

  • Yeah, the different english dialects are only slightly different from eachother, like calling things by different names and stuff... and I believe British english is the true original modern english, with their accent. I had a German friend who couldn't understand me well because he probably learned from a British teacher.

  • Which British English Liverpool , Cockney , etc. ? There are several regional accents in England and the rest of the British Islands .

  • the one the BBC uses.. idk which one that is :P

  • @coolbluelights Well, the turks usually speak good German or excellent German because they live in Germany since the sixties or are born in germany.

There are some other regions with their own dialect in Germany that no one understands :D

But I think English is an easy language. Fast spoken English is somteimes hard to understand, but written English is very, very easy.

  • Yes, that's why I can't understand why some mexicans have such a hard time with it :P

  • @coolbluelights I think it is beacause they haven't learned it in school or they forgot it. Adult persons learn new stuff much slower than children.

And I think the Spanish-speaking people speak to each other more often then to only Englsih speaking people. That's a normal way for immigrants around the globe.

  • Good job my friend

  • kipkay also did this

  • you could just buy a flashlight

  • but then people can see you, the point of this is so no one can see you sneaking around.

  • its a cannon e200 8mm video camera

  • why didn't he use the camera lens instead of using another one..

would it not be easier just to strip away the tape machinery and leave the video camera complete with viewer-lens-electronics intact?

  • the camera was color, it works better with black and white. and also the camera that viewfinder came from didn't work.

  • i was wondering because i have an old cannon 8mm video camera and its just begging to be used as something like a nightvision scope..lol

  • is this 3rd or 4th generation

    hahahahah get it

    hahahahahha

  • 1:23, haha, the cat

  • w8 so if i take my electronic camera to the dark and show the top part of the tv remote can i see the infared?

  • yep, you should be able to see it through the cam

  • can u tell me (if u know of course ) where i can buy that book? (or please show us more

  • I just looked it up and you can get it at Barnes & Nobles or Borders if you have either of those or off their websites. Also amazon and if you have an amazon account you could look through the whole book online.

  • thank you for answering me my friend but i found this book in the internet the same day i put the comment check my chanel to see

  • Let say i want my Sniper scope to see in the dark, do i just put infrared lights all over it?

  • if it's an electronic one, yes but the range is limited to how far the LED's shine

  • sadly, my scope is not electronic, so the way infrared lights work is via a lens to a digital tv?

  • not the lens, but the electronic camera itself can see infrared.

  • very dissapointing, i do not have an electronic camera.

  • can u help me out im trying to find the correct inputs for my view finder and dont have the book please help

  • just use trial and error with low voltage, like 1.5 volts till you get the screen to light up

  • lol he copied kip kay it think or the other way round

  • i have that book

  • I think I only understood how night vision works after watching this and several other homemade videos.

Please correct me if I am wrong:

    1. Infrared LEDs cast light into the room/what you're looking at.

    2. Intrared camera picks up reflected light.

    3. Reduced range due to ?strength of LEDs?

  • Right. only the camera isn't infrared, it's just a regular cam, but most small cameras can pick up infrared light. if I had more infrared LED's I'd have better range.

  • How can I pick up one of these small cameras/infrared cameras?

  • correct. Brighter the LEDs = better vision.

  • I'm not fucking lying, look at the date of the video! and if you bother to watch the whole damn video you will see the book I got it from! watch the whole video before you leave a dumbass comment!

  • its not like kipkay invents everythings. im sure kipkay gets a lot of his ideas from other sources then presents them here on youtube because no one else is

  • on the contrary, seems like every one of he's things where in some issue of make:magazine

still, i enjoy he's videos alot

only bothers me that he's usually very vague and there is usually little more info around.

  • he works with make

  • wait when did you make it?

  • summer 2006

  • This looks eerily familiar to KipKay's night vision device....

  • Yeah I made it in 2006 though

  • omg kipkay stole it from you!!!

  • your cat is fluffy

  • where can you find a spy cam that cheap and good for the project

  • Spy cam store

  • look online, I got it from an old Tyco video cam

  • which kind of output your camera is using to connect to the viewfinder: s-video or rca?

  • neither, it's hard wired

  • yes, but can you see something through the viewfinder during the day? because nightvision cameras has its outputs RCA (intensity + color) colored at day, and B&W at night... but the viewfinder only accepts the intensity (Y) of the S-VIDEO. Am I right?

  • Yes it has no problem seeing in the daytime. the way it sees in the dark is with the infrared light. just like a Sony nightshot camera. it's not a light amplification device

  • kipkay did the same thing

  • Yah, but Kip didn't give credit about the source like this kid did. Good for you coolblue!

  • yeha and all the kids that dont understand how IR works is commeting there its so frigging enoying. Great vid

  • holy crap thts cool, where can i get the book. make more vids.!

  • I found that book in a adobe file when I googeld the books name. :)

  • your a fucking genius. nice video dude, 5 stars

  • Thanks :D

  • dude your frickin crazy

    are you a genius

  • no, just a hobbyist =P

  • NIce work dude. Whats the mini camera for? You can´t see directly throgh the viewer with the leds? Or it doesn´t pick the light like our eyes...

  • The LEDs make infrared light which the camera can see but your eyes can't.

  • interesting maybe i'll try it some day

  • For someone who does this, you need to know a lot more about putting your camera down so that the viewer isn't throwing up all over the place because of the horrible camera motion. I mean, good job making the NV, but the video sucks.

Also, you can record from the spy camera using a wire going straight to the input jack on the camera you were using to record all this.

  • My camera doesn't have an input jack. sorry for the shaky video I didn't have a tripod at the time

  • WOW!!!! if you turn on a light you can see it too!!!

  • not the point of it tho

  • At 9:10 TONIGHT YOU WILL SUCK A DICK!

  • HAHAHAHA!!!

  • u copied kipcay

  • Dose't kipkay make stuff for you to make?

  • yea well im a modern ninja and i still perfer night vision

  • just wish u could do this kind of stuff a little simpler with household items

    otherwise great job

  • instead of making these, you should just become a ninja! they can see in the dark, you know,

  • Wow, thanks Daniel for the book information, I did order it!

  • hey u got that from 101 spy gadgets i love that book

  • omg I just bought that book

    :)

  • hey thats that thing kipay did

  • Can i make one and use it for my 3.2mp cell phone that does not have night shot at all but it will still look like a night vison camera on the screen
