link lived much of his young life in portsmouth, va. my hometown and i have been a fan since i was a kid. my friends, southern culture on the skids who cover a lot of link's songs and is their leader rick miller's major influence as a guitarist. so i really dig link but this version of please please me absolutley moves my soul. so strongly up beat but so hard and driving. a much more passionate version than the original and with out a word being sang.

So was this cut contemporaneous with the Beatle's release? IE: when did this version get released? It really smokes. A guy told me he had never heard of the Beatles doing this song and thought Link's was the original.

thank-You for posting-This ... ironically , the Beatles' Recording of "please please-Me" came-out on a "Rival" Record Label , VeeJay , while Dick Clark's Assistant was able to lease the Masters to 3 of the Group's Early (Parlaphone) Recordings , "I'll get You" + "She loves You" (in Both English + German)
