  • Hey! Could we go back to discussing my song here........

  • The south will rise again,

    -Scotland

    -Belgium

  • @TheMrSmissen hety, whats the american civil war got to do with you? fuck off, congrats on being pussys raped by the british. You know nothing of america nor the civil war so mind your own fucking business porridge wog

  • 3 people arent in the zone

  • Great Video 37,000 views too! A++

  • Deo Vindice! from Central Vietnam

  • @minhtung91: wow, that's far off the beaten path, way behind enemy lines! Awesome. God bless. I go to the Philippines a lot, but want to visit Vietnam some day.

  • @minhtung91 WTF should the US come back to your shitty country? go fuck yourself aint shit risin again here.

  • @oJKBo ???

  • @minhtung91 Don't talk about shit that has nothing to do with you.

  • @oJKBo unless communist aggression has in fact nothing to do with south vietnam, i dont see why i am not allowed to draw some parallels between the american civil war and the vietnamese civil war.

  • @minhtung91 um 1) youre vietnamese, you shouldnt be meddling in our history you american hater. 2) the communists in the north without provocation attacked a sovereign state--without slavery--to unify the country under an oppressive government with support from the soviet union and china--yeah, sounds just like our civil war.

  • @oJKBo well, thats the point. the whole idea of the north not respecting the souths right to autonomy is common to both wars. thats why i find the american civil war and especially the southern states interesting. do you understand how people feel to when their own culture and heritage are trampled upon by external powers (e.i., the union and north vietnam) whose interests are incompatible with theirs?

  • @minhtung91 what? south vietnam was more oppressive than the southern us because diem was pretty much a dictator backed by another country. In the southern US all blacks were treated like shit by their own countrymen. I'm sorry, but do you really think the US could recognize it's separatist counterpart as a state when that very state explicitly secedes in order to preserve a tradition of slavery and legal racial discrimination? What culture was trampled on? a culture of slavery and racism

  • @oJKBo despite the fact that diem is a catholic fanatic, there was more religious freedom in south vietnam. in a country heavily influenced by conservative values of confucianism such as vietnam, the word religion takes on a very different meaning. while the self-immolation of thich quang duc for example did indicate an unjustifiable level of religious persecution in the south, you can hardly use it to say that north vietnam was more tolerant of it.

  • @minhtung91 The South has always been full of racists. What came after the war? the KKK and Jim Crow. The Southern States would have been recognized by the United States if their cause were just--it was not, they seceded in order to preserve the institution of slavery, read their declarations of secession. The only 'rights' being trampled on was the 'right' to own a black person. The US was not an external fucking power. Rebel soldiers' ancestors fought for the US against the british

  • @oJKBo @oJKBo the culture of the north vietnam is held together by the homogeneity of its people not so much in terms of ethnicity as by their strong beliefs in traditional values such as "buddhism" (catholics fled the north en masse in1954) and a willingness to achieve materialistic goals even if dishonesty must be resorted to. the "oneness" or unity of interests in the north therefore was why they could rely on 100% of the population voting for ho chi minh if a "free election" was to be held.

  • @oJKBo the world has always been full of racists fuckface. only recently has the weary west bowed to alien agendas to pretend that there's no more racists among the civilized

  • @oJKBo What a ignorant statement. The civil war had nothing do to with slavery. You do realize the the emancipation proclamation only freed slaves in the SOUTH? Northern slave owners were still free to legally own slaves.

  • @AnthonyEJones Right, so go ahead and list all the states in the north where you could own slaves.

  • @oJKBo "It proclaimed the freedom of slaves in the ten states then in rebellion," (From Wikipedia and the Library of Congress Archives.) If your yankee state wasnt one of the "ten in rebellion" then slave ownership was legal per the Emancipation Proclamation signed by Abraham Lincoln. Get educated before you start flapping your bullshit. Furthermore, the emancipation proclamation did not make the free slaves citizens. It merely freed them.

  • Sorry. Isn't enough time here to give you the history class you missed when you dropped out of high school. You'll have to go to your community college for that.

  • "On September 22, 1862, Lincoln announced that he would issue a formal emancipation of all slaves in any state of the Confederate States of America that did not return to Union control by January 1, 1863" (source wikipedia)........"all slaves in any state of the Confederate States of America " Again, if your state wasn't one in the confederacy, the E.P. didn't make them free. The 13th amendment did that three years later.

  • @AnthonyEJones MY STATE'S FUCKING LEGISLATURE FREED THEM 80 FUCKING YEARS BEFORE THE EMANCIPATION PROCLAMATION YOU STUPID FUCKING FUCK

  • @AnthonyEJones WHAT IN THE FUCKING FUCK?? BY 1861 EVERY NORTHERN STATE AND FUCKING CALIFORNIA HAD OUTLAWED SLAVERY. HAVE YOU EVEN FUCKING HEARD OF A FREE STATE???? PENNSYLVANIA, 1780; MAINE, 1783; NEW HAMPSHIRE, 1783; VERMONT, 1777; MASSACHUSETTS, 1783; CONNECTICUT, 1784; RHODE ISLAND, 1784; NEW YORK, 1799; NEW JERSEY, 1804. AGAIN I FUCKING ASK YOU WHAT NORTHERN STATES SLAVES COULD BE HELD PRIOR TO 1861. FUCKING REDNECK, NO WONDER THE SOUTH IS SUCH A FUCKING SHITHOLE, PEOPLE LIKE YOU

  • @minhtung91 go hate the US somewhere else

  • @oJKBo of course the south was racist de jure. de facto racism on the other hand was and arguably has been in existence throughout the entire country's history. im defnitely not a supporter of discrimination on the basis of genetic differentiation, im only pointing that out just so you know.

  • @oJKBo OK bro. I admit defeat in this argument... I posted the original comment a year ago when i was still in vietnam and feeling oppressed by northern powers that be there. Peace and self determination for all.

  • super ... duper ... and that aint no lie ... neither
