Thanks Ty - I suppose 3 pointing then tail raising leads to lower airspeed. My instructor gets me to approach at 90kts with a trickle of power on which settles at about 85 after the flare. The Extra seems to have a hell of a sink rate if left unchecked. Any other landing info would be viewed with interest.
Particularly in tail wheel aircraft when learning to land you need to try to keep the aircraft just above the ground at 3 point attitude (nose high with all wheels the same distance from the ground) for as long as you can until the aircraft settles onto the ground.
This way the aircraft settles itself down onto the ground due to the reduction in airspeed and lift which naturally bleeds off whilst holding the aircraft in the landing position.
Do you line up at an angle in a single seater? Could you compare it to landing a pitts s1 by chance?

The EA200 seems to fly level in the 3 point attitude at 70kts- is the 300 the same??
How do you find wheeler landings in the 300??

The speeds are probably a bit higher on the 300 (I don't look at the airspeed in the flare).
Wheel landings are easy with the 300, but the touchdown speed is quite high. I prefer to touch 3 point then raise the tail.

Try that. Don't force it onto the ground.
