It's called skin rejuvenation, most people know absolutely nothing about it. I had this done to my skin a few years back and immediately after the procedure I looked really pale. I'm usually a medium brown, but my skin turned high yellow. I was trying to get rid of my skin discoloration from staying out in the sun for so long without using sun block.

Now, my skin is just a little lighter than medium brown, not high yellow any more, but lighter/clearer than before. I doubt he's "bleaching".
