As 1mariast and americancowgirl94 sid, that's Laura Osnes. She won the role of Sandy and has had a string of roles after she left the role. She's currently starring as Nellie in "South Pacific."

WHy on earth owuld you have prospective Danny's and Sandys sing this song? that's just bad song choice. For Danny and Sandy you need completely different voices, than what is needed for Velma's song.

It doesn't matter. The song was poorly preformed, and just a bad choice for these singers. Sandy is supposed to be Bland, only gaining a personality at the end.

Velma on the other hand, is supposed to be the sexiest damn thing you ever did see. And with enough attitude that you really aren't supposed to like her. She needs a kind of growl, in her singing.

None of their voices suited this song at all so the whole performance was kind of bad. You're exactly right, Sandy (and her voice) are supposed to be kind of bland and unimpressive so that's what all of these girls were- a direct contrast to Velma Kelly

And if they were tyring to challange the preformers into singing from different shows, that's not really the point of the show. it's not BROADWAY IDOL! it's "You're the One That I Want" A show focused on casting for Grease. So It's totally pointless to have them singing Chicago, or Phantom.

I enjoyed it. It was a test of their versatility. You have to blame the director and choreographer if you don't like this number. Remember, those kids were constantly on the go, learning new routines. I agree Allie had the perfect attitude for this number, but that was her problem. She came across as too tough to play Sandy, who is a sweetie until the end. Let's face it: no actor is so good that he or she is right for every part.

"All that Jazz" is always best sung by an alto, and all these girls are squeaky sopranos. Although it sounded good at times.
