@15niall yes but you must be under 28, if you are 29-30 you can still apply but you must be in crazy good shape, and you must have a waiver from a doctor that has examined you in the military.

Why is it everytime a Special Ops topic comes up some kids bring up Spetsnaz training? First and foremost what SEALs and Spetsnaz do are completely different. Also proper training makes a great and professional soldier. Constant flogging and abuse makes a psycho who cares about nothing. Contrary to popular belief held by random kids between the ages of 12-17, being a nut job does not make you a more effective fighter.

@TommorrowsSeal How do people get chosen to train as SEALs, or any other special forces for that matter? Do they get selected to be tested by higher-ups based on what's been observed of their behavior or do people just apply for it after becoming a soldier or marine?

@Yusuf1187 You have to apply, and it's a lengthy process. There is also a physical test you must pass. Then once selected you go to a prep three school where they check your physical fitness and ability to follow orders and this is where most people are weeded out. Once the final group is is picked they are sent off to begin training.
