  • Magnifique mélodie servie somptueusement par la voix et l'interprétation de Dmitri Hvorostovsky

  • Bozhe mogu ya skazat tolko - gari gari zvezda Dimi Hvorostovskovo. Privet J.

  • Day and night my heart expresses fondness,Day and night my head spins around,Day and night like an impassioned fairy tale,Your words resound in my ears.~~A true encounter happens but once in life,The thread of life is torn by fate but once,Only this once,on a cold and wintry evening,I so much desire to love.~~The ray of the crimson sunnset melts away,The flowers are wrapped in the blueness of dusk,Where are you, the one I once so desired,Where are you,who planted this longing in me?

  • Dmitri Khvorostovsky is an amazing singer and these Russian Romances songs are amazing! These songs are inspiring me to learn Russian cause I want to understand the lyrics too. From what I've figured out, the lyrics to these Russian Romances are heavy & sad, full of romantic poetry consisting of an imagery inspired by images from nature. Romantic era stuff (1820's to c. 1910)...and lovely!

  • I got exactly the same inspiration when I heard him the first time singing these russian songs ! That's kind of funny ! I must learn that language ! Let's start ! That singer Hvorostovsky is a great ideal for real russian cultural heritage, I mean singing with body and soul ! This got lost over the years(world-wide) and as a big fan of the italian tenors Mario del Monaco and Franco Corelli, I am very happy to see a new classical age coming !!!

  • @Diotima555 yes, i try to reacquaint myself with russian too, but it really started when i heard Simon Keenlyside sing Onegin. Now this idea is connected mainly with Dmitri singing so many Russian things.

  • Dmitri Khvorostovsky´s voice is rapturous, it surprises us at every new moment.

  • AMAZING!!!!! THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!

  • Magnificent!
