ok so i waited about 2 hours for this demo to install and when it finally does it doesn't respond several times, when it finally does respond it is extremely laggy and to put it simple, its rubbish. I have the HP pavillion g series with 750gb hard drive and 2.08 Gh processor with windows 7, can someone tell me what i need to do in order to get it to work ?? x plane 9 demo worked fine on my old laptop which was rubbish, please someone help :) ?

@adamrae96 crucial (dot) (com) is a reliable (although not the cheapest) place for non-techies to buy RAM. They'll walk you through installing it, too.

@adamrae96 Your processor is probably at the tail end of the spectrum as far as performance. And just what kind of CPU is it? Multi-core? How much cache? You don't mention RAM, but you should have at least 4GB. And if you have an OEM install of Windows 7, it's probably bloated down with unnecessary apps running on startup, leeching away performance.

@Mcleod008 Microsoft flight will not even come close to as good as xplane 10. It may look really pretty, but the only scenery in the whole sim are the hawaiian islands. You can't have any proper heavy metal flights, only GA's. That's cool if you like that, but it will get pretty boring with that tiny area of the globe. You can't even compare that to xplane.

@Mcleod008 Ms flight WILL have only hawaii on the initial release. Look it up instead of assuming. Sure you could fly 747's and 737's, but with only 4028 square miles to fly, it would be a pretty crappy flight. Stop comparing ms flight to the other Microsoft simulators because it's very different. Once again I say, it's not even on the same level as xp10.

as much as i love xplane 10 i'm having many problems with things like freezing and frame by frame effects! im running on a mac which is working absolutely fine with xplane 9, is there any way i can fix this and make xplane 10 smoother or is it something everyone has? also im up to date with the xplane 10 software which i think was released to day

In the past, I have not been very impressed with X-plane and fly primarily FSX . However, in this preview- it appears that maybe.... just maybe..... X-plane has finally matured to a point that as soon as the boxed version is released- I will probably get that and start adding third party add-ons like I did for FSX. After all, everybody hates the default FSX aircraft and scenery and it's the 3rd party add-on developers that made FSX what it is today.

@pyramyde1 the game is a cpu most so if you have a i7 with and ok gpu u should be fine. Also to people who might have performance issues go to weather and lower the clouds and put the visibly to about 10-12 and it should run better
