  • The first bluegrass band I saw was NGR in Topeka,same year.......'84.They opened for a Don Williams concert. I thought they was ok.......but wished they'd hurry up and get done so's I could see Don..........;-)) I think Bela sowed some seeds in my mind,though.I started pickin the banjo in '88.

  • I was there also. New Grass closing Stage 1 was always the highlight of the festival in those days.
