If there's any pointless Director's Cut of a good movie, it's Ridley Scott's films. He literally changes like a few scenes & while Kingdom of Heaven was improved, it was way overlong & added in an unneeded subplot.

The Blade Runner Director's Cut was good but the movie had already been cut before.

Alien DC was nothing different & don't get me started on Legend.

The only good Director's Cut he did was Gladiator

Dicaprio was awesome in this, not that he ever isn't awesome. I also disagree with Spill still thinking of his Titanic image. I mean in Body of Lies two terrorists can't tell that he isn't Arab from only a few yards. That's like saying everytime you see Tom Cruise you see Risky Business.

Wasn't great but was worth seeing once. Made alot of good political points, action scene at the beginning was worth price of admission.

Kinda ran out of steam near the end. Spartan (2004), The Kingdom, Good Shepherd, Shooter, Proof of Life, Traitor & Clear and Present Danger are better espionage thrillers.

Body of Lies has Leo get bit by a dog & you have to be insulted by the screenwriters that he wouldn't have rabies or any foreign disease from that bite. Plus, he gets up & starts running again. Not likely.

For once i have to disagree about Leonardo DiCaprio image of being the boyish charm from Titanic, i think that image has long been washed away.

Recommend seeing Blood Diamond for one of his more serious roles.

You have to read the book that the movie is based on to understand it clearly. Even then, you have to have a head on your shoulders to understand that.

The book is Body of Lies by David Ignatius. They changed alot of it in the movie, but it is an excellent adaptation, and I reccomend the book to anybody who has the brain to appreciate it.

I thought this movie was great, and I didn't have any problems with the editing, to be honest. I'd give it a full price.

Oh, and as for the Crowe-Scott pair-up, well what about DiCaprio and Scorsese or Burton and Depp? If those duos work, why break them apart?

That's probably the best way to put it. It's an excellent, very long, oftentimes dull movie. Those who have the patience will love every second of it...except..maybe those torture scenes. Man, where they brutal.
