ok, I guess the reason people don't like this game is because they don't actually read the manual before they play it. The pits don't move. so if you keep walking on them, you're going to fall in. try playing the 3 selection of play if you're new to it. the first setting is everyone, 2 is Elliot and the fbi guy 3 is just Eliot. these are the symbol meanings. (.)= refill energy ?=search for phone pieces. (i'll finish this in a second comment).
