  • That right it was you who had seen So Close. I really enjoyed that one. The Shining what a classic. I went to where they Kubrick filmed the movie and the Hotel they used had been changed so much by set design that I had a hard time believing they filmed the movie there at all. Into the Mirror was included with the Mirrors 2 blu-ray. Hellevator? Never heard of it. I so do love a movie with a good story. I will have to check into this one. Take care and see ya later.

  • @WinterKing1967 Yeah man! I love that flick, definitely one I should own, but I remember the elevator scene being a good one! Love The Shining, when I sit down with it in the right mood it scares the hell outta me! Man, still that must have been amazing to visit the location, but a shame it has changed so much! Really? What was Mirrors 2 like? The first wasn't great. Hellavator is mad one! One for when you're in the mood for madness!

  • @miyacemu It was really cool when I learned that the hotel where we went camping was the one used in the movie. They just did a lot to it to make it work for them. It looks nothing like in the movie. The real hotel where King wrote the book and they filmed the tv version, is not to far from where I live now. I have been to that place as well and it looks just like it does in the tv version. Honestly I haven't watched Mirrors 2 yet, so I have no idea.

  • Great choices man, I've seen In the Mirrors but not Hellavator, Sounds kick ass. One of my mentionables was Devil, Amazing flick!, My choice was Silence of the Lambs, The scene at the end of the movie when Hannibal escapes.

  • @horrorshow3000 Did you like Into The Mirror? and have you seen the remake?

Hellavator is great, but only if you like really weird stuff!

I think everyone should be mentioning Devil, so cool!

  • @miyacemu

Have not seen Hellevator........You say it's really weird, Isn't that what us horror fans are all about!? lol

I liked Into the Mirror and have not seen Mirrors, I'm not huge on foreign horror but I will watch it if its there.

  • Great choices mate! Haha...I just love the fact that a movie is called Hellavator! lol

  • @puckbond007 Thanks man! and yes, sometimes a title like that just sells a movie to you!

  • Both really good choices Luke! I always think of the creepy old man in the elevator from the Pang Bros.original "The Eye".

  • @munky2ube Thanks Kevin. The Eye was one I considered mentioning! I realized I could have made quite an epic list with all the Asian horrors that came to mind after this video though.

  • going to have to watch Into The Mirror. sounds good! i hated Mirrors with Kiefer S. and don't think i got to the death scene it it your were talking about because the movie was so bad i took it out and through it out my window! ha That cover for Hellevator looks crazy! going to have to check that out to man. take care!

  • @spaulding069 It was the scene with the girl in the bath, I thought that was sweet, but the rest of the movie was baaad! lol I wouldn't blame you! The original is good man. Hellavator is a bit nutso! Not perfect by any means, but pretty damn cool. Cheers Vance!

  • the remake i didnt like, but yeah only the scene u were talking bout was good...i need to watch the original, korean films r always freaky...that bit at the end scared the crap out of me, had the vol up all the way..u look diff, cant figure out wat it is :P..

  • @spr12cr For sure, there's been some great creepy Korean films. Have you seen The Phone? I haven't seen it in a while, but gonna watch it tonight, it's a Korean films that freaked me out a bit =) lol sorry to you as well, shoulda kept the sound down a bit on that bit! lol Diff? Nah, same old... I hope.

  • Right. That's settled that then. I was looking at Mirrors with a view to buying but I won't bother now. I'll get the Asia original though. Hellavator.? Sci-fi.? SOLD. Good stuff mate. Cheers.

  • @selmerthegod Good man, glad to sway you from hte evils of the remake! ha, the original is a good Asian spook fest, and the remake just isn't very good. Hellavator is a real oddball one!

  • i acyualy enjoyed mirrirs but not the second one so much but the first scene with the security guard chewing the glass was great. i didnt know it was a remake but it dont bloody suprise me. aint seen hellivator. argghhhhh, oo a got a bit of a jump at the end there. that bass woke me up a bit lol

  • @kulfie I've not seen the sequel. lol yeah, you have to question whether any new release is infact a remake nowadays! It's a great supernatural horror, hence I've made mention of it in both Alphabets of Awesome. Hellavator is good fun, especially if you like a combination of Science Fiction, some blood, and a big helping of weird. It's not a classic by any means, but quite different and enjoyable. lol sorry, I knew I should have toned down those bass kicks!

  • Two Great selections Luke. Into The Mirror is one of those Great Korean chillers. I never bothered with the remake at all. The original movie had that stunning ending that really made you think. The thing about that elevator scene & the death is that when it comes to pencils some people are just easily lead ;) .

  • @buckaroobanzai "easily lead" lol you kill me sometimes! Thanks Paul. I only gave the remake a chance because it was in a charity shop, and I thought it would have at least have a few good elements as Alexandre Aja has some talent, even if he squanders it on remakes. I do love the original, I think it's a great supernatural chiller, and I agree it was a fantastic ending.

  • 2 great picks there and a tongue tied luke to end it :-)

  • @tattooeddoorman Cheers man, and yeah, I was having trouble getting my words out on this one!
