  • amazing pictures man

  • Shad - We Myself and I

  • Reptilian Overlords

    REEL

  • This song came out when i was 14 and it was great, then i began to honor Aphrodite (venus) herself, the morning star that were the great civilizations before god or pharoah, this was even a greater journey and the mystical experiences that began, makes this song i liked at 14 and the way it felt, feel like only one drop in the great ocean of her dreamtime

  • @DeathShamans This is a mostly religious progressive rock band. There is no Venus. There is nothing before God.

  • @mjnr1fan i believe your statement you make about yourself, it happens when our soul is empty

  • @DeathShamans I made no statement about myself. Perhaps the gods were demons , but not God , Allah or whatever you may call It. My soul isn't empty , but there's always more room for spirituality and Love.

  • @mh53057: what do you mean by "they still play it here"? I thought Aphrodite's Child has been split up in 1971 or 1972 already. Where is "here"? As far as I know was this album a big selling succes, but I myself never heard anything about it on radio or tv. In the USA some people resisted the editing of the album, because they feared it was occult and pornographic.

  • @SacredAudacity All I meant is that one can still hear it on KSHE in St. Louis from time to time when they are playing the "Klassics". I do not know of any other station that plays this song on the radio, and I travel more in a month than most people do in a few years.

  • Good ol KSHE classic here. They still play it from time to time.

  • it's shame that greece dont know these ARTISTS!

  • Esta era mi musica entonces, y la SF, y la marihuana por qué no ? Maravillosos hasta decir basta. La disolución de este grupo fue un drama.

  • I heard it the first time on Radio21. Once a very good rock radio station here in Hannover, Germany.

  • megafajne

  • Great Song. The whole CD is awesome.

  • What's the last horse agreeing to?

  • @miliy61 last horse is green

  • I think this is where "Jane's Addiction" got their mojo & inspiration.

  • I remember listening to this when I used to have hair. It's been a while...

  • I find a wrong in guitar solo at 4' 40''

    The piece is magic!

  • The story of the band starts in 1968, and the singer is Demis Roussos who became later a famous pop singer and Vangelis Papathanasiou, (VANGELIS) who is still writing important progressive- new age music... Unfortunatelly the group had short story... but they inspired so many others like Pink Floyd for example...

  • 5 starz;montage,moog,lead/bass,drums, vocals.thx for posting

  • Singer is Demis Rossous!!!

  • Awesome song , Awesome lilting voice , And oh THE music the music ... MAN . brings back memories of sadly missed friend who introduced me to Aphrodites child . Miss you brother

  • What a unique voice, I love how it floats there with the synth sounds in the breaks..as good as it gets.

  • can play it again and again.....

  • Reminds me a bit of the Profit of Doom from O Negative. Not bad at all. 5/5

  • one of my alltime favorites, thank you for sharing!

  • fuckin good, they dont make that kind of music anymore

  • And they should make music like this. I think we're still in a music dark age that started in the 90s.

  • @ghostofdayinperson

totaly agree with your comment there, the simons cowels of this world have completely change the direction of modern music, there is very little talent these days, either someone can sing, play an instrument or write a song, not many can do all, i reckon that musicians will start looking back at groups like FREE, NAZARETH and the like to get some inspiration. the sooner the better

  • Four Horsemen of Apocalypse definition : the four evil (beings) that will rule the world near the end-time of the last era.

The leading horse is White... (Royal blood/Inbred)? Rfol xD

The second horse is Red... (Half Redneck)? Lmfao xP

The third one is Black... (Half African)? Gtfo! :p

The last one is Green... (Half-breed of an Extraterrestrial Being)? Omg! 8O

  • 5/5*

  • wow.

ive never heard this track or something like that

but this song made my day.

  • This is divine and not of this world.

It was made at a special time when there was a special connection to eternity .

    Just love it

  • Its a wonderfull song!

Erinnert mich an meine Kindheit ♥

  • a beautiful video for an hypnotic song and enchanting music...

    Thanks. :)

  • one of the greatest songs ever !

    amazing !

  • this is one of the greatest songs of all time

and the solo is outta this world

  • Im wonderig do you guys think that the world will end in 2012 just asking.

  • lol ... no

  • Well, Demis Roussos and Vangelis were, in that time, ahead of their time. They don't need to pay any tribute to any "hard or heavy metal"band of nowadays or from the "past".

  • lissen to the beautifull song of Beck.. called chemtrail (chemtrail -beck) This song was inspired by Aphrodite's child The four horsemen. And after hearing both, there are strong similariti

    enjoy!

  • I always thought of this song when I listened to Chemtrails.. no wonder!

  • Yeah, it seemed to me too when I heard Beck...so, it is correct...

  • Great old track! And a very nice video...well done!

  • excellent !! love it, back then,and now , 110# astroplane ???( wow)

  • Triangularthree, many thanks for your hard work. Its hard to imagine the same Demis only 3 years later singing sick housewife's ballads. I discovered this album at the same time as Physical Graffiti by Zeppelin was released, Just stunning !! Many thanks.

  • Vangelis was and still is always ahead of present time..and Dem's voice still sound mysterious and hounting here...

  • absolutely, man, absolutely.

    Vangelis is a sheer genius

  • i think you have to be high to fully apppreciate this song.... a co-worker of mine used to be a hippie...i like it

  • you don't have to be high.

  • he's right though, it does sound even better after a few bongs

  • I haven't heard this for probably 35 yrs. It used to play every day on the radio when I was 16 y/o. To hear it again takes me back to the days of my youth. What a trip!

  • Fantastic drumming & guitar.all time best song, pity y cant get a video of them playing this.

  • This fine song uses an incredible solo which alone explains the depness of early christian apocaliptism.

    Fantastic piece of art.

  • This album is an old favorite from my distant youth, and I still love it. I have the CD now, and get into it deeply sometimes. Your pictures are absolutely great--- astronomical collisions juxtaposed with photos of microorganisms--- images of death and birth. This is truly cosmic stuff, and I mean that in a very sincere way. I have seen other videos for this tune, but yours is best. Much white light to you!

  • great great great great song

  • I agree, shipsteak!!!

  • The Four Horsemen Rule!!!

  • song is great, last 3 minutes of rockin' out if just fricking fantastic.

  • the verve the rolling people im sure the verve copied this please help gr8 song though yes im sure the verve ripped it off please confirm!!!!!!!!!

  • PROSCRIPTOR drummer of ABSU did an amazing cover of this song, almost to a "T". he also had a female do split vocals with him. i'm glad i got a chance to hear the original.

  • amaaaazing song first heard it when noel gallagher did that radio 1 legends show. Reminds me slightly of champagne supernova when they do it live

where did you get the amazing pictures to go with the music?

  • One of the alltime best songs, lifts the imagination of all things!.....I made alot of the pictures, others from the internet.......

  • @Triangularthree You did an amazing job! I'm A Tree! :D

  • I got it from my brother who got it from noel.

  • @DNOo0 that's also how I found out about it...have you heard that rapper Shad? He samples this...how fucked up is that?

  • @DNOo0 Was soll ich sagen, es ist perfekt, danke für diesen upload.

  • i heard it on a trip years before

  • definetely the best Greek band ever ! Aphrodite's child...

  • your right

  • One of the best prog-rock songs ever!

  • One of the graetest songs ever!!! Full 5 Stars!

  • amazing

  • Metallica is nothing... The original is much better than that cover from metallica...

  • It is not a cover. It's a completly different song with the same title.

  • Far too happy for music which is supposed to depict the end of the world; listen to Muse's "Apocalypse Please", bit better for the theme.

  • Boys, This is Aphrodite's Child. Vangelis & Demis Rousos. 1971!

    Metallica...;)

  • Hey, that's not Metallica!

  • You're right. This is far too good to be Metallica.

  • Voice, guitar, "orchestal bass".. and drum work is fantastic...and Vangelis' outro.. Hah!, hah!..amazing. An inmortal piece of music for eternity...

  • Fantastic!! I've been going on about this track for years to my husband.. I kept calling the band 666 hence not being able to find the album (doh!) finally I know the band and album.

<3 to you for posting it. Hubby loves it and I can't tell you how chuffed we are.. kind thanks :D

  • Cool your welcome..........................

  • The first rider does NOT represent the word of God.

  • cool.......what does the first rider represent? I will edit the video.

  • You can see all four if you go to my profile and click on the featured video. I doubt you'll get it anywhere else though.

  • White: strife

    Red: war

    Black: Famine

    Green: Death

  • I thought Death roade a PALE horse!!!

  • Hi LanceHawks. and wumbovii. The word used in the original Greek text of the Bible to describe the 4th horse is the word "khloros" meaning "green". It means that the horse was a sickly pale green colour, like the colour of plague and death. Most English translations of the bible use the words "pale" or "sickly pale" instead of "green".

  • Like Triangularthree said, check out Friends of Mr. Cairo by Jon Anderson and Vangelis, it is Awesome!!

  • I can only agree with the other people in here!! Thank you for the music!!

  • ARGH! I so wanted to share this :P

  • Indeed....one of the best albums of that time and maybe of any time.............Vangelis later played with Jon Anderson {lead singer for Yes} some cool stuff you may be interested in..............

    Triangularthree...........
