I just learned that we lost Mr. Newman on 1/20/09 - the day Barack Obama became President of the U.S. Texa Tenor Giant Fathead served up plenty, plenty soul while he was here and we are all the beneficiaries via the recordings he left behind. Be sure to check out his 1972 recording of "Lonely Avenue," featuring Cornell Dupree on guitar. This clip, video quality notwithstanding, is also proof that the man was blowing strong `til almost the very end. May he rest in soulful slumber.

Very tasty. Fathead plays it pretty straight, but the SOUND .... killin.... and he gets in a few off angle shots.

OK metBANS , i agree w/ you about french. but you know what? they don't listen about music, they just TALK about music. They don't really complain.I know that since my birthday 'cause I'm surrounded by french since my birthday. Being french myself. Btw, thanx for the video!
