@chrisginger23 Unless Wikipedia is lying to me (which, let's fact it, is more than likely) The Alans spoke a dialect of Eastern Iranian and were referred to as Iranian. Unless that's just my brain making interesting leaps from the information on the page. I'm pretty sure that's what I read though.
