thank god. anything to get away from chlorine. chlorine is bad for people, bad for the environment, bad for air quality. even ozone to kill bacteria and algae in the water would be better than chlorine, as long as the ozone is decomposed into O2.
UV effectively inactivates algae and over 60 waterborne pathogens. UV has become the water sanitiation method of choice at hundreds of world class aquatic centers.
@Juddcf55 UV systems inactivate (kill) algae that passes through the disinfection chamber. A very low chlorine residual of 0.5 ppm (about the level in tap water) is maintained in the pool, which kills any algae that doesn't pass through. UV has an almost magical effect on pool water. Because UV also eliminates the organic matter in pool water, a very low concentration of chlorine will behave as if "it is on steroids". In other words, the sanitizing power is greatly enhanced.
can you instal this on a pool at home? how does it keep clean without chlorine?

My final comment and I'll wait your response:
All these complaints are consistent with a POORLY Maintained pool, and not specific to a salt chlorine generator pool.

@P00Lsean Nope, all chlorine is bad for you "properly maintained " means poisonous .

Looks like a good system. But I heard that this type of pool system does NOT fight algae. Is this true?
