WTF do I care, that's what you city boys get. A Y2K event can happen, the market can crash all to hell, I don't care. I can grow/hunt my food, I get water from the ground. Sucks to be y'all.
i signed the petition and just e-mailed my congressman and blasted him as well since he vored for the bailout. 3rd time i've e-mailed him too in the past few days...
If all that liquidity (3 trill as you say) ended up in unregulated offshore hedgefunds, then, in theory, couldn't they close off whatever valve allows that money to flow there? Then the current pumping could be successful. The can control domestic inflation by controlling that offshore money when it comes back.
Aren't the big three banks remaining (or to presumably remain).. aren't they international? It sounds to me like they just want to shed their losses in America onto America so that they are free to go and play with other countries. I'm not sure I don't have empathy for their side, if that is the case. They offered an offer, and it was taken in mass by America. Isn't this sort of analagous to them claiming bankruptcy against America? It would make sense. Everyone else is selling out.
My guess is this is the margin call on America's debt, held by the biggest international bank (or two). That's why they need to turn us into a financial ashtray for our defaults plus any global fallout we cause. Otherwise the dollar is no longer gets t be king. And knowing the average American sellout yuppie, they are either so overlevrgd that they have no operating cap to stay in business, or they expatriate. Either way is bad news in a very harsh way. I would say someone has us in check.
Thanks again. Calling and emailing my brains out as are all my friends. It worked the other day. Hope it works again. I can't believe that they are actually listening to us. Perhaps the fact that all their jobs are on the line is helping a bit...
The US Dollar was up against all major world currencies both yesterday when the Dow was down 778 pts and today when the Dow recovered 500 pts. I think the value of the dollar is a much better, direct indication of the bailout status.
"The revised bailout bill also includes a "Mental Health Parity" provision, which would require health insurance companies to cover mental illness at parity with physical illness."
So they're ensuring a passage of the bailout by including the healthcare crap.
No politician is going to want to look like a heartless jerk by voting no to a bill that makes insurance companies cover mental illness the same as they do physical illness.
This is a very good presentation. If this bill becomes law. In a show of protest, we should address Congress and the rest of those who supported this bill: Comrades.
Hey kdenninger, could you talk more about the credit markets? Paulson was saying that the market is not a good indicator of whats going on and that the credit market is whats in trouble right now and what will cause serious damage. I don't understand what that means exactly.
He did. No trust=no borrow, no lend, no "credit", LIBOR rate shoots up. Confidence needs to be put back into the system, and Denniger's plan should do this. Doesn't mean the bad economy will go away but we can't just throw more debt on top of already unsustainable debt, ie. Paulson's plan. As the famous quote goes, insanity is continuing the same shit while expecting different results.
There is only one real solution to our problem. Nationalize the fed reseve, declare all debts both public and private null and void, establish at least three credible parties and go back to our constituion.
There are many groups open and secret in our society with hidden agendas. truthfully our country is in so much debt and owes so much for programs that its mathematically impossible to pay.
Gee this guy isn't even a politician, and he has more common sense than all the other "politicians" put together. If this guy was running the show, you good people would be living in a golden age.
Now your elected reps get to give you good people a golden shower. Keep phoning the morons, no bailout, no way , no how...period...end of sentence.
I keep e-mailing the news media outlets asking why they are pushing this so hard. All day long, we don't understand. There is a clear conflict of interst here. WHY is the news media for this bailout? WHY is there no objective reporting on this bill. I am REALLY concerned with this 1984 scenario.
cnbc and bloomberg are doing their best to shove this down our throats. they even cut off a guest's comments short when he called this bailout bill fraudulent.
email karl's videos to everyone you know. this will become a communications war.
Army Times reports: they are deploying thousands of soldiers into the US for "homeland" protection, against civil unrest, disease, etc....it is against us now folks beware...I knew I should have moved out when I had the chance..we cannot fight against them!
Agree....call your reps and tell them NO I did, and I went to opencongress and he actually voted NO, this is going to go through again, they only voted no by a few votes....screw corporate US, they have sold out the American people and paid off the government, let them FALL!
traders are scared... they don't know when the PPT is going to spike the market. we need transparency. santelli says they don't trust the rules will stay the same.
Speaking of terrorism. NORAD is doing another "training drill" starting Oct.1st and their are rumors that something is going to happen between 10th and 14th also there are 6 U.S. nukes still unaccounted for.
Good work! not many people realize that our economy is at least 70% consumer driven or that the Plunge Protection Team has been at work in the stock market. Consumers are tapped out nearly. Also the real problem isn't the bad mortgages but that the mortagages were leveraged or betted on at least 30-1 and that AIG signed bonds on this trash for many. The derivatives are really the problem and aren't worth squat as assests. Nor so they understand that the FED is robbing this country blind.
Rumor has it the Chinese have issued threat to Paulson. Either you give us a way to unload this toxic debt (which you sold us) or count on a buyers strike at your next auction. Could be why Hank and is so anxious to get this deal done.
China has more american money than the USA... along with 90% of bonds... All this in exchange for rotten food, dangerous drugs and bad milk made there.
Our businessmen are brilliant, right? Yep, they are, they f****d everyone up the Ass to make one more penny per unit sold.... And in keeping prices low, they garanteed americans would get poorer by the minute. Their mission is accomplished. These guys are still rich today and will still be tomorrow. How about you?
this bill is total bullshit. if they really want to bump the economy, why not throw 700 billions into an alternative energy in the next 5 years? millions of new jobs created, new companies, research, and possibly in 10 years we can safely withdraw from middle east.
nnossov, Paulson is a Christian Scientist. Christian Scientists reject the germ theory of disease. If you're crazy enough to disbelieve in bacteria and viruses, then you're probably crazy enough to exchange 700 billion dollars for garbage.
Cristian Scientists beliefs are not more crazy than a belief in Christ's story, or Noah's arc. Or a Mormon beliefs, or any other religion's beliefs on earth. They all are nutty in their ways.
Ya know, I know nothing about banks and paperwork, except that it is evil for intelligent greed. However, today I talked to people, they don't care about all of this. Everyone is fed up. This encourages me. This is the sort of spin that made this nation and it is the sort of spin that will make things right once again. Either do or die. If it comes down to locals against armed guardsmen, that seems fine to the people that I have talked to. People are just plain fed up. This is good. Revolution!
I have been talking and listening to a lot of people locally in the last few days, they are getting real sick of the spins by medias and politicians. Now they see no different between McCain and Obama ... and to look for alternative candidate. They also start pulling money out and stock up. Gosh, few months ago, these same people thought I was crazy when I told them what are coming in financial arena and politic wise.
Yeah, I knew this shit was going to happen as a child 40 years ago, which is why I made sure I never had any children, at least that I know of anyway. lol So here it is. Crunch time. Hopefully not. Hopefully we can stave off this bad thing and ride it out a bit longer. It is a natural cycle of things. Fuck it. I am about ready to call it quits and just hope for a quick nuclear devastation.
well, on your last thought about nuclear devastation .. you will be surprised how many people brought that up during the conversation. They are days away from losing their homes/jobs, and max out on their credit cards. I heard a rumor that Bank of America will cancel credit cards of those credit scores under 750 stating tomorrow. This is going to be a mess. This might be the next card to push Sanate/Congress to pass the bailout saying banks need liquidity/credits????
This is great, no one has explained this situation in such concise and understandable terms.
Do you believe that the 500+ point rise today was a sign of recovery, or that maybe that it was because of investor's beliefs that the bailout will still happen?
DHTCAMUAS. The recovery today shows nothing more than the total stupidity of what is going on, and has been going on. It is a simple thing to understand. It is physics. You can not get more out of a system, any system, than it has to offer. You may be able to fudge this or that, keep it going for a while, but never ever can you get more out of anything than it has to offer. Sooner or later, the system, any system, will break down if you tax it beyond its load value.
The one thing we can do, the only hope is to decrease the load and hope the system survives long enough for somebody that is really smart, to go back to the system and re engineer it. As far as your money goes, you should have bailed days ago and buried gold in your back yard. Sell high, buy low. If things get really bad, you will wish you bought firearms with your current bank money.
WTF do I care, that's what you city boys get. A Y2K event can happen, the market can crash all to hell, I don't care. I can grow/hunt my food, I get water from the ground. Sucks to be y'all.
