  • Nice! I run vista lite on my 1,4 ghz Athlon Xp 1700+ system. It has 512 mb of ram. It works faster than xp or FLP ever did!

  • @spongebobrules99 Update: I downgraded the memory to 256 mb, it still work bgetter than anything else ever did.

  • Nice video :D

  • I had windows vista on my computer an old dell but then I installed Ubuntu and it ran way better

  • Fortunately, some websites still support IE7, sites like mediafire and Google+ already dropped support for IE7, but still, this is a good video! :D

  • @TheCanadianToast Yeah. I use Google Chrome , so I have nothing to worry about.

  • Nice Computer! i like your CRT better then my LCD Monitor for some reason

  • @KCompRoom2000 I normally use my 22-inch LED monitor, but I am letting my dad use the VGA cable for his shitty Acer LCD monitor.

  • 3:37 that setting is the best

  • @MarshallRA I realised that when I watched the video back after recording it.

  • Told you vista does not need a good computer to run. Celeron D is practically nothing in today's standards.

In fact, I am surprised it would run well on a 40GB 5400rpm drive, on my main computer (look at it in my channel desc. for specs) I use a 120gb SSD so everything is really quick.

  • @MarshallRA thats for my boot drive, I use a 2TB hard drive for storage

  • @MarshallRA Well, I was using a 40GB Maxtor 7200RPM drive, not 5400RPM. I wish I had a SSD for my Dell, My Dell is fast enough, but a SSD would make it even better.

  • Could you PM a dload link?

  • @ryebread761 I got it from MegaUpload before they were shut down, so I cant. Sorry.

  • @VZIPTEAM It wasn't a spammer. Another YouTube user wondered if I wanted some computer parts, and I declined because I don't want to give my address.

  • That flicker is typical CRT flicker just so you know.

  • @kbhasikevin I know that. I was trying to reduce it by changing the refresh rate.

  • This thing is pretty cool, and Vista is also pretty cool. It seems to run alright, I guess it being the Lite version seems to help.

And like i've said before, I had a look in my spare parts pile and I have stuff you can have if you want it to upgrade this PC. There is a better Pentium Dual CPU (LGA775, 800MHz FSB) at least 1 stick of 1GB DDR ram, a 256MB AGP graphics card ect. If you want it, just pm me or something and i'll happily ship it to you.

  • @Blueblur444 Well, I would like some new parts, but I don't want to give ANYONE my address.

  • @IBMThinkPadR51 Fair enough. Do you have like, a workplace or a P.O box it could go to?

  • @IBMThinkPadR51 No. I don't really care about new parts much, All I use this computer for is my file server and my iTunes machine.

  • cool custom built computer!

  • @Compaq0304 Thanks.

  • Nice! Guess you can finally move away from XP now! But you will need SP2.

  • @an65001 I'm not bothering with SP2. I'm not going to do Windows updates on this machine since I only use it as a file server and a iTunes machine.

  • @IBMThinkPadR51 Then antivirus?

  • @an65001 I use Microsoft Security Essentials.
