  • I'm a Catholic; and, of late, the Orthodox tradition: its writings, monasticism, etc., has really begun to interest me. Thanks for the video. This monk really reflects what I have learned. God bless.

  • i smell popcorn.

  • May your soul rise straight heaven and please pray the rosary to save the world. thanks

  • The holy will win.. It was meant to be...

  • I want you to know the Extraordinary Good you have done to the world in putting these videos on the internet. Never in my life have i been so profoundly altered as when i discovered these. I thank you so very much. May God Bless Your Soul for the good you are doing

  • the old man knows the truth

  • Please stop arguing everyone-this guy is totally right. His silly voice makes me smile, but he's totally right.

  • This's on Greek

  • This is an clear example of an ancient Orthodox wisdom carried on by Orthodox nations like Romanians,Greeks,Serbs,Bulgarians,Russians,Syrians... The nations who still carry on the unchanged faith of Apostles. Great elder. God bless!

  • I am very impressed. Who is this man?

  • Useful advice. Thank you for sharing. He has great humility.

  • You are setting up numerous straw man arguments. Things I neither said nor implied. I will admit one inconsistency however. I believe God is completely soveriegn. Completely. Even over the demonic realm. We are all exactly where he wants us to be. So, if I believe that, then why would I continue to argue with someone who professes to see, but God still has blinded as blind as a bat? I believe you are exactly where God wants you. So I will leave you alone.

  • @therealgoodnews

Sir you opened up pointing fingers at an elder of the Church, posting comments about a theology that has more holes in than Swiss cheese and now you say I am blind as a bat?

All you seem to be able to do is mock and insult, especially when your position has been soundly defeated.

    Good day

  • @therealgoodnews Didn't Jesus say something about who those were mocking others as blind (spiritually). Those who claim to see and hear will made deaf and blind by their own egos.I'm coming in late into an argument that i know nothing about so i will skip that. Obedience is more important than ritual or mocking. The message in the video is: be good to each other and you are good to God. It's that simple.

  • @cfG21 Jesus said there is no one who is good except for God. (Mt. 19:17 And He said to him, "Why are you asking Me about what is good ? There is only One who is good ; but if you wish to enter into life, keep the commandments." ) Paul agreed, (Romans 3: 12 ALL HAVE TURNED ASIDE, TOGETHER THEY HAVE BECOME USELESS ; THERE IS NONE WHO DOES GOOD, THERE IS NOT EVEN ONE.")

  • @therealgoodnews Mt. 7:11 If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?.It is true that compared to God no one is good but He has given us the ability to know what good is and expects us to do our best no matter how many times we fall.i don't care what you say good news.No matter what i will continue to love YOU and TRY to become a good person because it's what God wants me to do.

  • @therealgoodnews hey man in your quote you said " Why are you asking Me about what is good ? There is only One who is good ; but if you wish to enter into life, keep the commandments." notice the words KEEP THE COMMANDMENTS, yes none of us may be good because no one is perfect but one should try and keep trying to better themselves and others hence the words keep the commandments so do not kill etc.

  • @Fatalerror300 When have I ever said we should not try and better ourselves? But you believe God becomes pleased or displeased based on whether or not we are trying to better ourselves. God isn't a wishy washy wave being tossed by the wind saying, "Oh, now I like him.... oops there he sinned, so now I don't like him.... wait, there he is doing good again so I like him again..."

  • @Fatalerror300 God has done all that is required for justice and righteousness through the death of his Son. Of course we have to believe. We can't experience anything unless we believe it's true. That's why God gives you the gift of faith. God has not done 99.99999% of what is required, but 100% all.

  • @therealgoodnews .when you saying by the death of god son there you astray the path of God because even

jesus said every one have to pay for his sin now how he died for your sin.and than what is the difference

between your religion and pagons rituals exactly the same things some one die for other sin.that is wrong.

  • @strangerlover11 Pagans sacrifice what is important to them to appease their gods, to make their gods friendly toward them. The one who God sent to the nations, Paul, says God loved us, and He was for us, but justice still had to be done. We are not sacrificing to make our God like us. God sacrificed for us, to show His love for us. That is totally different from your example.

  • @strangerlover11 Here is what God says through Paul in Romans 3: 23 "for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24 and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. 25 God presented him as a sacrifice of atonement, through faith in his blood. He did this to demonstrate his justice" We were redeemed by the death of Christ. We were atoned by the death of Christ. You are considering the cross to be foolishness and you are stumbling over it.

  • @strangerlover11 Jesus very willingly chose to lay His life down for his friends. And death was required. Someone can take my penalty if they decide to and Jesus decided too. Thank God.

  • @therealgoodnews ..who to told you that , that Jesus compelled to lay down for your sin oh paul told you that

right...if christ is not risen from the dead our preaching is vain your faith is vain 1 corinthians 15:14

    hahahahha

  • @strangerlover11 (hahahahaha???) As I just said, the preaching of the cross is foolishness to you. You do not have the mind of the Spirit but of the man made flesh. You think as a weak pitiful few pounds of flesh and bones that you can please God. You say, "Oh if I try rrreeeaaalll hard, then God will probably like me." How little and pitiful and decieved is anyone who thinks he can please God. God is never pleased by what you do. He is only pleased by what He does through you.

  • @therealgoodnews ..Mind of spirit what are you talking about for the past 2,000 years what mind of spirit the

christians been preached..hahahhahahaha.yeeh the holy spirit is coming upon you and you going to feel it

without feelings..hahahahha this is 21st century does not make any sense but yes you can please god what

he commanded you follow the right path he be pleased but not 1+1+1=1....hahahhaha

  • @Fatalerror300 Of course we should try and better ourselves. If I walk the narrow way according to God's principles I will have a full life here on earth. If I walk the wide way against the principles of God I will have a lost and destroyed life. This has nothing to do with the eventual victory of the cross to restore all of creation back to God.

  • @Fatalerror300 But like you and all traditional Christians, I too for 29 years mixed law and grace together in a confusing mixture. So, here is the distinction: 1. I want a good life here on earth so I try to do good. 2. Point one has nothing to do with my salvation. All that is needed for my salvation has already been accomplished.

  • While he says a few good things, it is basically the same old religous tripe from the days of the Pharisees. He says again and again, "Do this and that so God won't abandon you." That's bondage and fear and self righteousness to the extreme. Thank God for His deliverance from this confusing and hurtful mess.

  • Religious tripe? Saying "Do this so God will not abandon you," is far from self-righteous. In fact his entire message is to be humble and to remember the work which you have been given, i.e. praying for those who asked you to pray for them. How is that self-righteous? How is walking into a church and thinking that everyone there is better than you are self-righteous?

Apparently to think you are better than he is, and thus have pride, which is the bearer of self-righteousness.

  • @DopoNotte

It is "self righteous" to think you have anything within your "self" that can choose to live "righteously". Your good works have been prepared in advance for you to do. It is the faith of Christ, not faith in Christ that saves you. It is the age of overwhelming grace. Grace that is impossible to resist. Yes, I said impossible to resist!

  • @therealgoodnews

"Yes, I said impossible to resist!" If it is impossible to resist, then it is not done in Love, but in control, mindless submission, and blind obedience.

  • @DopoNotte So, you are saying you are able to work up a love from "yourself", that can actually please God. A love that is pure and holy and without spot or blemish? That's quite an accomplishment. God's plan is to become All in All. To reconcile all things back to Himself. He does not require you to do anything that He does not give to you. He is the source of all things. Let go of yourself and completely rest in what God has done through Christ. He has done it ALL.

  • @therealgoodnews God already is All in All. What do you mean 'He has done it ALL?' What ALL has He done?

God desires our love, that we respond to His Love with our own. Just b/c you may deem it, or He may deem is, impure or unholy or blemished is not the point. You create delusional requirements of what God expects from us, and then say that we can't possibly do that, as to remove personal responsibility.

Remember that depression is still sin; it is the ultimate end of pride.

  • @DopoNotte God is not alreay ALL in ALL. This is such basic scriptural knowledge. 1 Corinthians 15:28 KJV

"And when all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that God may be all in all."

What ALL has He done? He has only done the small thing of providing everything necessary for our salvation.

  • @DopoNotte " You create delusional requirements of what God expects from us" Then who can ever know if they have done enough? What kind of security is that? Only those who are better and sin less and do more good works and whose motives are better... Whew. If all that is still necessary (yes, this is what you believe if you could be honest with yourseld) then what did Christ die for?

  • @therealgoodnews You already pointed out my argument, and defeated your own, when discussing prayer. Of course God knows what we need and His Will will be done, so why pray? Yet we are commanded to pray anyway!

Similarly God knows and we know our love is impure, unholy and blemished - yet we are told to respond to God's Love with our own anyway!

  • @DopoNotte We pray because God is a person who I can pour my heart out to and He takes away my anxiety. Commanded to pray? Encouraged and priveliged to pray is a little more like it.. You appear to be confused regarding

  • @therealgoodnews You have never done enough. And oh no, we are most definitely commanded to pray (paraphrased) "pray for those who hate you, bless your enemies," etc etc. Definitely commanded.

If you believe that God's Will is absolute and we are "forced" to obey, how then could God possibly not be All in All? If God's Will is absolute, what more needs to be subdued until Him?

Many contradictions that you need to work out before you start an argument my friend.

  • @DopoNotte Absolute Truth and Relative Truth. Again, this should be so basic for a teacher. Absolute: Acts 13:48: “and as many as were appointed to eternal life believed.” Relative: Acts 16:31 And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved. Paul Absolutely knew it was only those who were appointed to believe who would believe, But preaching is one way the appointed hear. God is the source of faith, hope and love. Yet, it is imparted by preaching (commands).

  • @therealgoodnews

Who decides what is relative and what is absolute?

  • @DopoNotte

Not who, but what? Common Sense decides. But, of course common sense is not very spiritual. Example: Absolute: "I, the Lord, do not change." Relative or Condensending: all of the examples where the Lord for the sake of our limited understanding appears to change. If you ever teach that the Lord in anyway changes (He's pleased with us today. He's not pleased with us tomorrow, based upon our actions), then you are teaching confusing, inconsistent and dangerous doctrine

  • @therealgoodnews

The Lord does not change for He only bestows blessings. If we united ourselves to God through prayer fasting and compassion, then God shines within us. If, however, we disconnect ourselves from God, then God does not shine within us and we are subject to the demons that tempt us.

It is not God who changes, but we. Baruch 3:3 "You sit forever while we are forever passing away." God's proposal is constant, sadly our response is not.

  • @therealgoodnews

Common sense. So your common sense I am sure decides what is relative and absolute for everyone else? Not to mention that you arbitrarily decide for yourself the definition of common sense for ... everyone else?

    Is that how this works?

  • There is another thing that must be addressed: God is neither pleased nor displeased with us, b/c for Him to be pleased would mean that He is moved by pleasure, which is a passion - God is not subject to the passions, especially not from His Own creation.

If you say that God despises His creation b/c we are totally depraved and can not do anything ourselves, but then in Christ He rewards us with eternal life, we have this contradiction again.

The theology you present has many holes

  • On the one hand you say that God does not change, which is true.

On the other you say we are incapable of doing anything ourselves and that we are impure, unholy, and blemished, but b/c of Christ, God "changes" and sees us differently.

    See the problem?

  • @therealgoodnews

You are under the false impression that b/c our love can never possibly match that of God, that it is somehow unimportant. This is a myth of juridical Western reformation.

  • @DopoNotte One of the biggest lies of the traditional church is that you can resist God's will. Ridiculous. His will is being perfectly accomplished through everything and everyone in the world. Right now. You don't have to seek his will, you are doing it right now. Yes we should pray. But not to cause God to do what we think is right. Prayer, in this age of grace has two purposes only. To spill your heart out to God and let Him know what you want. And then to tell him, Your will be done.

  • @therealgoodnews

We must remember that the Christian message is not one of blind submission, nor simply love outside of obedience, but obedience in love. God proposes to us with His Own Love, and seeks our response with our own love. Not that we are "forced" to respond, for that is mindless submission, nor that we love outside of His instructions, for that is lusts of the flesh.

We see this Propose / Response no better than in the Annunciation. God proposes to Mary, and Mary responds.

  • Thank to lord from the bottom of my heart to have such person in this world who can should us some light.

    Praise to the Lord.

  • Kyrie Iesou Khriste eleison me!

  • what evs! what this guy needs is some lady ga ga.

  • @bcgeom Why? All this man is doing is trying to love God and all people. Lady ga ga personally makes me "gag" a.

  • @pravolub8 perhaps, perhaps not. perhaps what lady ga ga needs is some fashion advice from geoff tate.

  • only a demon would tell people to pray. Praying has not worked and only been used by people who had success and advantage and claim it was their prayer that did it. while millions pray and starve to death or get abused.

  • @SpamAnn : I Find Praying helps; I find a answer to all my prayers; You cant pray about wordly things; Like make me Rich make me succesfull at This and that.

    There are plenty of Health and wealth prosperity false teachers preaching that. When you pray you pray about spiritual Issues. About the will of God in your Life;

You will Find out about all these things as you read the bible.

Jesus said First seek the Kingdom of God; Then everything will be added to you.

    Your Need. Not Greed

  • @shaky777001 : it doesnt help. Does a starving child receive food through prayer? If you drink poison will prayer help you survive? no. Prayer is what you BELIEVE about it, nothing more. The will of god is not in this life, the will of humans is because those create the world the way the world is, how we rule and who gets what etc... I read the bible, its a book of abuse and enslavement to keep people obedient. Dont fall for it.

  • @SpamAnn millions starve and die because humans are sinful and thereby greedy, murderous, lustful and corrupt by nature.

  • Golem with Stockholmssyndrome.

My preciousss Grimoire told me to say so.

I suggest forgive youself for believing in in the book called the bible, it will rip you apart if you give your self to this evil god. Read the bible from the start and then ask yourself, who is this god ? or rather why was this griomire written ?

  • Only another demon would tell you to put your faith in another SPIRIT! come on!

  • i have been to many churchs,,,and hay meet many mea and woman of god,,,This is by far truey a true man of god,,,the words and the wisdom and love this man has in hes heart and only be from god

  • "Do not cry my child, for the Lord will soon return and put things right...."

    St. Nikolai Velimirovic

  • "It feels like yesterday they were asking me, 'How are you boy?'"

Yet, he has regained the spirit of a child of which 'is the Kingdom of Heaven.'

  • "There is only one way for us to overcome: humility."
