Hey, just wondering do you still use this product? I purchased it over a year ago and use it for about a month before my hair went yellow! NOT a good look! so now I have awful roots and I was wondering if you knew of any way to remove it? Thanks x
@Misstinygirl1 Hey! No, I don't use the product any more, I decided to let it grow out, which kind of answers your question! It is permanent, and the only way I know of changing the colour is to dye it, however as this contains bleach you have to be very careful with tones! My hair went green when I dyed over it, so I would recommend a hairdresser, personally :) Good luck! xx
I'd be carefulu with this product. It really really drys out your hair. I ended up with a bad patch of psoriasis on my scalp because of this product. (like bad excema, weepy, and sore and scabby) ! Not pleasant. It DOES HAVE PEROXIDE IN IT.IY SAYS ON THE INGREDIENTS. I will never buy this again & i've complained to John Frieda company.
@wambammakeup1 Thank you for the warning, unfortunately using this again recently, I have not had such a happy experience, and will be making an update video soon. Thank you for watching and commenting! :)
@LifesGoodMemoryBitch I really don't know, sorry. It says just for blondes but I have heard of people with much darker hair using it, so I imagine so. Thanks for watching!
I used Sun-In and lemon on my hair when I was younger and decided to try the bottled blonde colors as I got older. My natural color is medium brown. My head would sting or burn with some products and then when I would go to bed at night, for about 3-4 days the scalp would itch. This weekend my mom came across an article in a magazine about John Frieda Sheer Blonde... I absolutely love it! I have very porous hair, so the first time I used it I could see a difference and it feels great! Thanks
@PinkLonghorn14 My hair was naturally only one or two shades darker, and I used this four times all over to lighten it a couple of shades :) Hope that helped! :) Depending on your natural colour and the colour you want to achieve it will take a longer or shorter time :D xox
@oceanshell101280 Hey! You would be able to use it on your hair and it would work well for highlights, but although it would fade a bit after a while, you would then have permanent highlights until they grew out :) Hope I helped, and thank you for watching! :D xox
Heey, I bleached my hair 3 times because i had natural really blonde hair (I hate that i dyed it brown) but now im back to like a dirty blondeish color it has red in it, so i have to dye it with lightest blonde on the top for like 30 minutes and the rest of my hair 1 hour, So it will turn out the same with unred stuff. Then use the shampoo && condictionir of this to keep it! (:
@candabffs4life Thank you! :) It should do! I hope you enjoy it; I would just say make sure you have a good deep conditioner to keep your hair healthy too :) xox
I don't really understand how it works. I've never used any dyes or lighteners on my hair so I don't really understand the whole process, but what I got out of it is that this spray will continually lighten your hair every time that you use it. My question is that say your roots grow out and you want to spray it on your roots, well if you get it on your hair that was already lightened, then won't that make that hair turn a lighter shade of blonde? ....Then it won't match your roots.
@TheBananers27 It works by gradually taking colour out of your hair, and thus lightening it. The root-blending is actually a lot easier than it sounds too! I would say that you want to be careful not to get splotches of the product everywhere, but as long as you try to only get your roots, the rest of your hair (I've found) isn't affected. I think this is because as your roots grow out, the new hair is obviously less damaged than the rest of your hair, so the product takes to it more easily :)
@hinicolex It is permanent yes, and it says on the bottle and on the website that this is only recommended for naturally blonde hair, or lighter shades of brown hair, however I have heard of a lot of people with darker shades of hair using this and getting great results. I can't comment on this myself as I'm naturally blonde, but I would say if you are still worried, there are a lot of other reviews online if you google it! :) good luck, I hope I helped a bit! :L xox
@Surfandsandmegs yeah thats why im stuck because i am also naturally blonde but its like dirty blonde and i get highlights so idk what to do haha! thank you so much thougH!
I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news but I'm afraid this product does actually contain hydrogen peroxide...John Frieda say that the go blonder line don't contain peroxide but that's only the shampoos and conditioners, they conveniently fail to mention the spray does (there's a sign on the back of the pack) :( I really like it too though it's not too drying!
@HiMC19 Oh my gosh! I did not realise that, even though it's right there in the ingredients! that's really bad of them though, to not make that clear! :( thanks for letting me know though, I think I will continue to use it, however, as I really like it too! haha :L
Hey can you please do a video of you applying the spray to your hair. I think it would be very useful to see how you did it, because you got great results. Thanks
I have a Mark Hill beautiful blonde pack which has 2 sprays and like shampoo and conditioner, and one of the spray you spray in the air and walk through it and it makes your hair soft and shiny and fights my frizzy hair haha, it smells nice so I use it all over my hair, I'm guessing it could work with any spray that smells nice to stop the burnt smell :L xx
@TheHelenChannel My hair is naturally blonde, but in the winter it tends to be a couple of shades darker than it is here, and even in the summer it is at least one shade darker. but yes, it has been helped along by this spray! :) depending on how light you want your hair, you can just keep applying it every time you wash your hair :) hope I helped :D I would TOTALLY recommend this! :D Let me know how it works for you! xox
@Surfandsandmegs Mine is too! But I wear my hair in like a bun thing so the back and the ends are like really dark and I hate it! I bought this 4 days ago & I've used it twice and it's defiantly lighter! I wear my hair down a lot now and those darker bits now match the rest of my hair :D! The only bad thing is when I straighten my hair the mix between the heat and the spray makes my hair smell weird.. but I have this spray to spray on it from Mark Hill and it makes it smell nice again :)xx
I have naturally really light blonde hair but just recently it has been getting a little darker. I am definitely going to try this product. The only thing is that I have REALLY dark eyebrows any advice?
@coleyjuice You should, it's awesome! :D And I know the feeling, my eyebrows are naturally pretty dark too, however, I've never done anything to mine, and no-one's ever commented on it for me. :L There are things like bleaching or dyeing your eyebrows, but of course you will have to deal with re-growth and getting it done regularly, and also bleach near your eyes can be dangerous so I would always recommend going to a reputable salon :) hope I helped, and thanks for watching! :D xox
@Surfandsandmegs Hey sorry I have a quick question... :) How often do you have to use it, like do your roots start to grown in darker within a few weeks or what??? Thanks so much! Hope to hear back from you soon
@coleyjuice not at all, I love hearing from you! :) Uh... I use it every few weeks, yes, just to make sure my roots don't show, but as the weather's got sunnier, my roots seem to be coming through lighter anyway, due to natural bleaching from the sun :) however, even before that I only used it every 3-4 weeks just to touch up my roots, and one application was enough :) hope that enswers your question! Any others, just let me know! :D xox
@hrhgeoghegan Aaw I'm so glad it worked for you! :D I love it so much! :D And of course! I love talking with you guys and helping you out! :D And it will be up by the end of the week, definitely! :D Thanks so much for watching and commenting, you are so lovely! :D xox
You are just too cute! My hair is dyed to a shade of red(lifted my natural hair a long with extracting color out will this work for me?
