Honestly, he won the prize for doing absolutely nothing aside from agreeing with good ideas many other people have already had. The Nobel Prize shouldn't be handed out for potential, it should be for specific acts.
Carter got it for the Camp David peace accords, Roosevelt got it for negotiating the end of the Russo-Japanese war and Wilson got it for creating the League of Nations. Obama has done nothing that even comes close to matching these accomplishments, yet. They should have waited.

Sure, he decided that the missle defense system in Poland wasn't a good move but other than that, I can't really name anything that he has accomplished that is worthy of the Nobel Peace Prize.
