  • Why does the dummys have to be white all the damn time for bullshit man.

  • the 2006-present Renault Clio/ Renault Euro Clio (Mexico)/

Renault Lutecia (Japan) is assembled in

    Flins, France

    Delhi, India

    Bursa, Turkey

  • @KingofEuro 15% Ford pieces. Look up that facts before you start arguing with people .

  • @KingofEuro - Umm. Yeah. That explains why Jaguar and Land Rover are doing soo well at the moment and now Tata can;t afford to pay the world banks the money it owes them for buying JLR. And anyways its hardly Indian, its funded by India but designed, tested and built in England.

  • LoL, these things won't go over 10 kmph so this is a bit unfair

  • who would even want to own an ugly pos like these cars?.. I'm glad they're doing these crash tests on them.. now finish off all the rest of em that have been produced.

  • The Scenic won.

  • I own a renault clio RN. My 2nd car since i passed my test :)

  • Why is that rear-facing car seat being placed in the front seat? not cool 1:02

  • @mrjlsny The passenger airbag would've been turned off, there's a switch in the glove compartment of our Renault to turn it on and off. :)

  • @mrjlsny because you can turn off passenger airbag what is actaully necessary if you wan to place car seat on the front passenger seat.....its safe.

  • @Dancza1171 Well I'm from the US, and it's VERY frowned upon to put the car seat in the front seat. Most cars here have the option to turn off the air bag, too, I just didn't think of that.

  • sssss

  • Wow i had a crash with my dad and sister just that is was a lexus ls 400 and vw but i am lucky that we all wern't killed or enjured

  • French cars seem to have fairly good crash rating, if only they could make them more reliable

  • @myfeeling4you They did, I drive a 2008 Laguna Coupé 3.5 V6 and never had any problems.

  • @NorthwesternNL Well you are a fortunate person, here in Australia Renault try hard to achieve popularity but from past experiences and not with myself a lot of people have had many problems with various models, not any particular one but when those people went to have repairs done Renault were hopeless in problem solving and the cost of parts if you could get any were expensive.

I believe Citroen have a better repuatation but with a lot of car companies many suffer from customer relations

  • we have a clio and we have had all 3 scenic gens

  • dude in bouth cars ppl are set like wee need to sit in a car, but 80% of ppl doesent sit in car like this, i put my legs on controle board xD

  • swedish cars are still the safest

  • @123dodgecharger BULLSHIT YOU BASTARD, VOLVO MAKE TECH THAT DOSENT WORK AND HAS TO BE SET UP.

IT SHOULD WORK AS SOON AS IT COMES OUT THE CRATE

  • @drcheese42 BULLSHIT. DO U OWN A FUCKING CAR

  • Renault rocks!!!!

    always they are reliable!!

  • renault is a fucked up and boring car manufacturer but i have to admit that it is very safe but if i want a safe car wich is fun and not boring and fucked up i would but a mitsubishi lancer 5 stars in the test

  • @pqhat1 well, you can t say the new megane rs is boring though ;)

  • @tudorgui1992 ok at that point you are right but i dont like the look of it

  • @pqhat1 the new megane rs..the old megane r26r..clio rs..twingo rs..are the least boring cars than money can buy..they are pure fun...but all are renaultsport badge..which is more reliable and great than renault himself

  • @pqhat1 MITSU LANCERS ARE JUST SALOONS BTW GET AN EVO FOR FUN

  • @TheMasterGJ What the holy fuck are you talking about? You can call Peugeots ugly, but not, not Renault! Or Citroën :)

  • FUCK YOU AUTOCHANNEL

  • electronic component for renault always screw up...safe but always breakdown..

  • Renaults have great security, good overall looks (on newer cars) and tough engines. The only problem are the electrical components, they always seem to fuck up on Renaults.

  • @Renceau Yea thats right i have a crash with scenic today not so big and i have no insults

  • @Renceau The electrical components in the new Renault cars (3rd generation) are ok!!

  • @Renceau what are the electical component?

  • @triggerhappybullets The lights inside (sometimes outside), the electric windows, the air conditioning, the engine sensors etc...

  • Renault cars are excelent!! they are safe, beautiful, neve brake, to sum up, Renault are the best!

  • @azhjp never brake, hahaha are you being serious?

  • renault c'est costaud

  • i hate that autochannel intro and outro.

  • Renaults have been safe cars since the late 80s but unfortunately their reliability went downhill ever since as well!

  • How can you be sure they are safe if they are not reliable?

    what an oxymoron! lulz

  • What a lie,,

  • renault very good car!

  • This car is crap, like most Renaults. I used to live in Europe a few years ago and I had to cope on a daily basis with their ridiculous design and poor interior space.

  • try crashing one in to a range rover or any other car it will be destroyed

  • I dubt... renault has often won many safty testes, and the scenic has won "safest car of the year" some cuple of times.. any way, if it was an hummer or an truck it probely wuld be destroyed, but an range rover? come on!

  • @djassimilator Search Renault Espace VS Land Rover Discovery. Dont be stupid.

  • i did say range rover but far play the discovery didn't crash to well i've got an oldish 93 but don't want to crash it any time soon i want wrx with roll cage for my kids watch travis pastramer crash his subaru mad

  • My point is: Renault cars are made with crumple zones and they will help passengers to survive. There's no point building car to be like a tank. By the way,we all have our dreams,my dream is Peugeot 405 T16 ;)

  • fair play maybe your right i'm just saying i'd rather have a bigger crumple zone or not crash at all would be nice

  • Evry1 would like not to crash, but shit happens.

  • My mum had an old old saab and it was like a tank and abliterated a modern car and only had a dent i think it was a xantia

  • Yea,older cars were builted like tanks :) Saab is very good car, similar to volvo in quality matters :)

  • the really old saabs were like cast iron they really were nice and comfy too

  • french cars are horrible for home maintenance and rather unreliable. garage costs are high.

  • No their not! I miss my Renault Megane..

now I am stuck whit an audi 2002 A4, the bigest crap I ever had.. I got vid of it on my profile, nice car to use to transport of paint and wood though..

  • I really enjoy the system that starts the warning blinkers after a collision. Really handy in dark!

  • It´s incredible the evolution in safety. If you see any crash test from the lates 90´s you´ll notice a big difference, conceernig safety, even in small cars as Fiat 500 or Ford Fiesta. Good for us!

  • French cars are very reliable.

  • I have never scene a scenic before, and I quite like how it looks. This is also a very good video!

  • @billygoatdawg081992 i own one and it spent more time at the service than on the road

  • @billygoatdawg081992 because you are from the USA, i think renault hasn´t made the jump to your market, i had an accident on a renault clio on november 2010, in a frontal crash, no kiding, and i´m here, i didn´t brake any bono, anything, just a superficial cut in my hand, thats all, i walked away from the car, and also my girlfriend, that car will be always in my mind. now i have a seat leon 2, its a nice car and it is spanish like me, but i prefer the clio

  • @Apugueiro HAHAHAH. "I like the Seat as it is Spanish like me" Well 50% German my friend. That means I must like my dads Jaguar because its English. Hahahahaah. That made me laugh =D

  • @TheONEWELL I suppose if that logic applied in America Detroit would be rolling in dough right now.

  • phew... now I feel much safetyer in my Scenic

  • Comment removed

  • the energy...

  • Renault is the most reliable brand in europe

Seee ADAC rankings in 2008 and 2009! Laguna III best car in his category in germany costumer survey satisfation 2009!

    Renault THE BEST CARS!

  • lol your are sick killyourself, Renault is the most european company! Very good cars. Top in reliable rankings.

  • sigh...go do your so called renault "amazing research" and find out that french cars are unriliable...

  • freach cars are very reliable! I own a Clio dCi with 150.000km from 2005 and it is the best car i ever had! Very reliable zero problems very safety, the best car in his class!

French cars are The best! Very Reliable! Best Quality!

  • you are sick

  • sigh....now as i am the only clever person, lets see the reviews, ford vs renault and watch ford own...i will send you the videos!

  • they are two good cars, but to me Renault is better cause i owned very Renault and very good cars, economic, reliable, safety 5 stars cars! Its one of the best car companies!

  • my Clio III have 5 star in EuroNcap safety ranking!

  • er...no the 05 model is a 4 look up on euro ncap...

  • you are mistaken! Renault Clio III has 5 stars in EuroNcap Safety Ranking!!!

  • are you stupid?

    euroncap . com/tests/renault_clio_2005/220.aspx

  • no...go and see..the passangers fumar was marginal, as was the drivers chest, fumars and legs...so it should be a 4 but ncap say it only juist scraped a five, also the pedestrian was poor...ford have all areas as green...

  • @jaffacake1578 THE OLDER MODEL THAT WENT UP 2 2005 GOT 4

  • @jaffacake1578 IF YOU ARE SO HUNG ON FORDS THEN WHY THE FUCK ARE YOU WATCHING THIS??!!

  • @drcheese42 because i wanted to compare the safety of cars.

  • @jaffacake1578 some french cars are incredibly reliable! I had a 1996 Laguna for 9 years, it did 170,000 miles without a hitch.

  • i am saying about my renault i had,...not anyone eles, and mine was UNRELIABLE...

  • @tjf4373: Wow, so actually 1 reliable car slipped through the net, because the rest of them were horrible. And btw they still are.

  • Horrible in your opinion. I would beg to differ. Yes, I can only go by my experience with a Renault but if they can build cars that do 170,000 and still be running smoothly and start every time in the morning, they must be doing something right.

  • agreed, over the last 17 years I've had a clio and then a C4, my dad has had a xantia and now a C5 and my sister also has a clio. We have had very few problems!

  • There we go, thanks catweazle - another satisfied renault driver. I'm not saying they're perfect - like all cars they have their faults, but you can do a lot worse than a renault!

  • only 170,000km?

  • 170,000 miles

  • @tjf4375 so, thats nothing, my ranger has done over 300,000 miles... and i had to change the spark plugs... ONCE

  • @jaffacake1578 Well done you.

  • Renault is the best

  • sick we crash witch at clio in 70 km/h a frontalcrash and now we have buy a senic but they dont see so mutch better after the crash ^^

  • renault is less reliable than a land rover!

plus they are arkward to fix...have you heard about how hard it is to change a lightbulb?

it takes a proffessional a whoping time of 1 hr and 30something minutes. also type in fifth gear changing a lightbulb on renault.

  • ???? Renault is very reliable brand. all my famuly brougth Renault since 20 years and never broke down! very reliable cars more than 500.000km in Renault always running!

Renault is most reliable company in 2008 by rankings ADAC go check

  • no no no renault are very safe i will give them that and they are an overall good car company and i like them...it's just they havn't got very good reliability. type in "changing a lightbulb

fifth gear." and see how long it took just to change a light bulb.

  • Renault is very reliable more than 500.000km with 0 ZERO preoblems! if your renault break down i feel sorry for you but mine are the best!

  • i don't want a renault!

  • lololol ok

  • @jaffacake1578 WHY THE FUCK ARE YOU WATCHING THIS THEN FFOR CHRISTS SAKE

  • you are sick or retarded

  • What the hell, I'm not pro, and yet it takes me less than 10 mins to change the light blub on my renault... pfff

  • lie...check out the video fifth gear changing a light bulb, and see.

  • iv had 3 renaults - a clio....scenic...then a clio II and i aint never had any complaints, not one problem and i took the scenic all the way to barcelona on a euro trip 2 years ago with nothing going wrong! thats 4000 miles in two weeks. the car did me proud.

I love ma wee clio ive got the now. French rules!!

  • two weeks without going wrong??? serious...IM SO AMAZED! (not)

my dad had a mondeo and it went 11 years with nothing wrong... NOTHING.

NOT EVEN A NEW CLUCH OR NEW BULB.

  • AW WOW round of applause for the smart arse wi the mondeo, away an chase yersel wee man!!! i was merely enhancing the fact how a renault can perform over a vast amount of miles in such a short space of time and still come out strong!

It doenst matter how many years a car is owned for, its the miles and terrain it covers that shows true longevity and performance! so, get it up ye!

  • THis is the reason I've buy a Renault LAguna !

  • you fuck! renault this is a crash test thats why its broken! if you crash bmw the bmw will broke too right?!

  • yeah, but in a BMW you have more chance of survival.

  • And this is why i want to buy a Renault Scenic.

And to those babling about French cars reliability, you, my friends, are greatly misinformed.

I've seen some comments from the Brits.

Anytime you want to discuss Rover reliability and their very outdated 1992 Honda Civic frames, i'll be happy to oblige.

The last ones were fairly more reliable, but those had..........wait for it.............FRENCH engines.

    Go figure...

    Vauxhalls are Opels, period.

Plus they're almost exclusively sold in the UK.

  • As an owner of a Clio III is good to see how well it stacks up against a bigger car, I've had no problems with my Clio so I would say reliability is up there with the best of them.

I would like to know though where you get the idea from that Rover had french engines in them they were not, they were PowerTrain k-Series made in the UK, the Diesels were BMW units in the 75, the 25 & 45 had only British built engines in and the 75 V8 had a American V8, erm so no french engines. ;)

  • @dentricrio Just don't take it to a Renault dealer - incompetence and lying to you is guaranteed.

  • My dad got Renault Scenic as well!

  • ive got a clio and its caused me nothing but grief, sunroof rattles and creaks and leaks, spark plugs blow, alarm sets its self off made like a cheap piece of shit buy a vauxhall

  • That's very unfortunate, my Grandad has a renault 11 and the oldest clio out, both still going like a new car.

  • weeeeeeeeee....

  • If only America could study this. Certainly we would be better at what we do.

  • That would be a cool job crashing cars for a living.

  • I agree, it's something I always wanted to be lol

  • LOL

  • way better than fiat.

  • Fiat its no example... Cheap cars with cheap construction... At least most of them

  • French make safe, but not very reliable cars. Hey, but it's a safest form of an automobile, if it doesn't even start at the morning, so you can't crash with it! xD

(Don't take it too seriously, I just don't like French cars, but I admit they're safe.)

  • french cars are very reliable. renault peugeoit and citroen are in top of ADAC reliable ranking. check out!|

  • I have a Clio and love it to bits, however I would not say that French cars are reliable, they are safe, but not reliable.

  • see adac reliable ranking, french cars are so reliable as the japanese cars

  • @SorsanSuuriAfro you are total right there safe nice to drive i have a scenic 2005 diesel 120hp. Engine dead with less then 128,000km that's unacceptable but you know there french so not much to expect

  • the french have very safe cars.

But (in my opinion) not the most beautiful ones

  • Pretty impressive.

  • renault it very safe cars.

  • esta copa

  • which one was better?

  • both are same

  • Not possible...

  • why they crash cars?

  • to see if they are safe enough to drive in

  • Should test the drivers not the cars ...

  • for fun

  • This isn't a natural procedure and to be honest I don't see a problem with a more traditional layout. I must agree though. I love the new merc C class AMG and the SL AMG, I love the ridicules amount of power in such a compact car in the case of the C, and its not common like the bmw m3. Right now though, i aspire to own a lotus exige - shit hot...

  • cool!

  • At 1:29 the back of scenic looks lowered like a touring car - awesome!

  • rofl, it's called suspension.

  • I know, im not retarded, lol. I just liked the idea of a renault scenic track car - although the one we had fell to bits after 2 years so perhaps not...

  • Was it a Scenic made between 2000 and 2006?

  • erm, i think so, it was the new shape one. Luckily it came with a 2 year warranty. Just before the 2 years ran out the power steering went which would have cost around £1600 to replace, which scared us a bit, so we sold it. Now drive a skoda octavia and its great! The scenic had a brilliant Diesel engine though - 70mpg on a run! Its a good car apart from the obv reliability issuses

  • Ehm, you got owned seriosly. My friend worked in Renault managment and he said that Renault was experimenting with super low production costs after year 2000. Very probably, they achieved far lower production costs than any other car maker but as they later realised, it wasn't worth it. They lost too many customers. Obviosly PSA tried to do the same thing so their reliability sipped too and French automobiles received bad reputation as a result, even tho Peugeots are famous in Africa for their..

  • toughnes and durabilty.

Thing is tho, the reliability seems to be coming back. New Clio (2006 - ) appears to be problems free, Laguna 3 hasn't been around long enough and the new Renault Megane, which looks briliant btw. comes with 5 year warranty. Plus the coupe version is hot, I like it. Dunno about Scenic. I'm not interested in MPVs. But I'd take Megane even over the new Golf 6. The only trouble is, I bought my car 3 months ago, before the financial crisis pushed the prices down, damn it.

  • I wouldn't say I got owned, lol. The renault scenic is a good car in many respects, only let down by its reliability. And anyway, I now drive a skoda octavia 1.9 TDi and I must say it is a brilliant car. The cars aren't mine as I am only 17, but having driven both, as well as several cars on the way to passing my test I can say this with proof. One car that isn't great to drive is my parents mercedes c180 - the accelerator pedal does nothing then all of a sudden your red lining.

  • It is interesting that people in Britain like Skodas so much when here in Czech and Slovakia (sort of domestic here) their reputation is getting worse. Perhaps they're better quality in the UK. Anyway, I think Octavia is too big for its chassis which derives from Golf. One of my father's colleague had a crash in Octavia because he wasn't used to its understeere handling in his Megane. lol.

  • Your parents should have bought that Merc with stronger engine. I adore Mercedes. I always thought that Ferraris are the best sounding cars in the world. That was until I had a ride in some AMGs'.

  • Lol, its a 1996 mercedes, they bought it brand new, i was only 5 at the time and I guess my parents were pretty proud to own such a car as well as supporting a house and family. It a nice car, its in mint condish, but it is not nice to drive sadly. The clutch is heavy, the accelerator is unpredictable and it has four pedals-the usual 3 plus a handbrake one which is released using a lever on the right of the steering wheel. It means taking the car out of gear before applying the (foot)handbrake

  • the clio cant be that safe, otherwise my best mate wouldnt of been killed...

  • the music at around 1:30 is called "the energy" written by lee groves/peter marett, from the album cinematic piano - ATMOS-CD185!

  • That was more a contest of equals in the way that Bambi vs. Godzilla wasn't.

  • so,,, who won?

  • Does anyone know the name of the song that starts at around 1:29? Just reply if you know :)

  • im wondering the same thing. I hope someone who knows it replies. (sorry if this gave you a false sense of a response lol)

  • the clio seemed to come out worse, eek I just bought another! but I did flip my last one over swerving off the motorway at like 90mph and I walked away unharmed, so I'm not too fussed :]
