Great version of Dwight Frye. This is from the "Welcome To My Nightmare" tv special where they overdubbed new vocals over origional instumentals, very interesting and very daring with outstanding results.
We're up for a contest to meet ALICE! XD could you please vote? all you have to do is go on facebook, say you like the page for "rock & gol" and then vote for the pictures uploaded by regina phalange and svetlana prachka!!! please vote! it's only takes a second!
When anyone mentions Alice, most seem to think of Eighteen and Million Dollar Babies. However, this is by FAR, MY favorite song. This performance is better than all of the concert arrangements that I have seen. THANK YOU to iamobservingu! Does anyone have a stereo or higher resolution copy?
I finally got to see him in Vancouver B.C. There are so many reasons I like his tunes but I gueass the main one is that they tell stories. It isn't just someone telling us what they think we should do or what's pissing them off at the moment.
I don't know if any one of you guys really got this song...it came out during the VietNam war...Alice was saying something about that time...listen again to the song, keeping that in mind
@rch9000 Because the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is a sham. The people who vote are a clique and if they don't like you for some reason you don't get in. Just ask Alice. He must have told Jann Wenner he wouldn't suck his cock back in 1974 or something.
@dsfddsgh, exactly right. It's ridiculous that we take awards or accolades seriously at all. But I've also notice that the R N' R Hall of Fame has trouble with artists who have "gimmicks." Alice may have been theatrical, but there was a lot of substance beneath the make-up and vaudville. He (and the band) wrote amazing songs.
it just blows my mind how awesome Alice is,he truely is one of a kind and all the rest who came after are just cheap immitations we know who they are ;) your the man Coop x
