I know nothing about the technicalities of piano playing ... but it does seem to me that you're doing something "unusual" that makes your playing sound "different". Maybe someone can put a name to what I'm hearing? There's seems to be more emphasis on individual notes. There's a sort of "jazz type" effect ... like I've heard when jazz musicians improvise.

@newtonscat Hi David, I know that you hear very well - thanks for listening. I now record through a small mixer and add a little reverb to give a feeling of space, but other than that my playing is often a mixture of classical/romantic styles and blues influences - perhaps that explains what you're describing. I appreciate your comments!
