ok put it at 54...i dont know what kind of extras you can get on an m roadster. It used to be a one size fits all car. WTF...and the interior...hideous compared to other bmws including the z3. This is a crazy review

no your wrong the z3 is ugly z4 is AMAZING but it is a car u have to get used to the looks. you have to be around them for a whiel to really appreciate them

How many other ones? There was a problem with the Z3 being to girly, and soft so they changed it. I know you cant have the same car over and over again so you make minor changes and body styles, the Z3 to Z4 change was more then a "new z3"

z3 only got its girly rep because first engine was a 4 cyl

people race the 4 cyl in a stock civic and say ha girls car

they dont realize that one of those z's will rocket to 60 in 4.5 seconds which is faster then any z4

the change is understandable but they went all nissan on it and made it look too futuristic

the risky look cost the z4 in sales and made it a failure as far as sales go

now the new z4..i think its gonna do just fine especially since it went back to the z3 looking back end

The S54 engine in both the Z3 and Z4 had very similar preformance what I'm trying to say is that the Z4,in BMW's opinion is more successful becuase they made a new one, if it was flawed then that new one would be called something else. and the Z3 and Z4 were in completely different markets made for different people. Earlier you were talking about racing, didnt the E86 Z4M coupe have a couple great finishes throughout this year and have enough to easliy break into the high 3's to 60?

i haven't heard of any z4m breaking anything better then 4.9 to 60 and the same car got 5.1s on most other reviews

They are pretty much the same preformance, those mid 4's to 60 probably take roll-out into consideration

z3 weighs less as its a smaller car with the same hp its only natural that it would be a little quicker

Not from a roll, i said roll out meaning they dont start the 0-60 time until you have actually moved as opposed to reaction time with the tires spinning

ya it was a huge change! the z3 was basically scraped and the z4 is an entirely new car. the z4 looks alot better too. and, there's a Z4 ///M ! i hate to say it but the z3 was a big mistake. BMW got it right with the z4 though : )
