@erickaLCmusic 3 spoons of caster oil and 7 spoons of sunflower oil....(That's a total of 10 spoons. ( she is saying the same thing, only she explains that the 100% of oil mixture you need, so the total amount is always a 100%, (or ten spoons in this case) consists of 30% castor oil (=3 spoons), and 70% (= 7 spoons) sunflower oil... Hope it helps.

I use generous amounts of oil- spread on skin and work gently in with the grain of the skin (the way the hair grows)- pretty immediately black heads and gritty feeling stuff starts coming out. I massage gently for quite a while and usually remove quite a significant amount of stuff. Sometimes I leave the oil on for a while, sometimes I take a shower and wash off with soap. The soap takes most of the oil off, but leaves my skin very soft and moisturized.

It has taken some time to really change my skin, but it has totally changed the texture and clarity. I do not have deep cystic acne at all--this was very much an all the time part of my life. I recommend- olive oil, castor, sweet almond, coconut, and also-- if you have deep acne that is often open and infected I recommend Neem oil. It is very strong, and can dry out skin (yes), smells bad and burns the eyes! but cleared my skin of what I believe was a deeply rooted infection.

@domaniben -- I just turned 30 too. Ive suffered with hard, infected, cystic acne for half my life. This is the only thing Ive found to help. I do this everyday. I dont know if that is really recommended- oil cleansing method generally recommends 1 a week.. but I do it very gently and not too long. I recently dropped off in my cleansing and got my first cystic zit in a year- I attribute it also to weather change. It may take a while to really work- good luck !!!!

@abcdefg123501 gunk comes out while massaging oil- pretty much right away, tho it may take 10 min or so. I def have oily/congested skin, this breaks up the congested/impacted sebum and thats what comes out (feels like grit, or may be larger black 'chunks'. it should be fine to do anytime, be sure to use mostly carrier oils (coconut, jojoba, almond) and a little castor oil, massage gently and wash off. your skin will be healthy and glowing!

@charli617 Castor oil is really sticky and thick. That's why it's mixed with thinner oils (such as almond oil, canola oil etc..) to make it easier to handle and apply.

@shawntel1535 That claim ("Castor oil makes hair grow faster") has never been proved. No oil or other topical cream can make your hair grow faster. It's almost solely matter of your genetics and general health.

Plant oils help to keep your hair moisturized and stronger. By reducing breakage, your hair will get thicker and stronger, but nothing magically makes your hair follicles to multiply or produce thicker strands of hair or make the hair grow faster.

lol no... the hair on your head, lashes and eyebrows is a different type of hair than the one on your skin. In order for the hair on your skin to grow, you need to change your hormone levels.

yes, you could any other essential oil would be nice. It's always a good idea to dilute the castor oil with another oil because it is very thick and potent.
