(I would just add that Hitch misspoke slightly on the Romney bit. The cursed participants of the war he mentions are not condemned African-American's, but ancestors of Native Americans. Mormonism's anti-Black doctrine doesn't really have anything to do with the war Hitch referenced... except maybe to show that it isn't just African-Americans that they believe are cursed and inferior.)
In my younger days I was a very angry atheist. However, I've moved past that. I harbor no hatred of the religious. I don't believe they are capable of logic. Perhaps It's a genetic defect, and I can only hope that it's curable some day.
It is a vile contagion, a pestilence, a panoply, a bestiary, a cistern, an abyss, a concave crest, an escutcheon, a fetid foul, wretched, putrid macabre, malodorous grimoire.
@AnonymousWhitePerson Even if my syntax were bad, there's no irony there. I wasn't insulting anyone's syntax. You were insulting egotism with an egocentric comment.
@AnonymousWhitePerson You want me to make you keep up? Does that mean you're admitting you failed to keep up? Put down the thesaurus and read a book. You'll be a better writer and a better person for it.
Being an "angry" atheist myself, I can only agree with Mr. Hitchens. We have the right to be "angry" at having to accept superstitious fucking deluded people, messing up our educational system and the entire world!
agreed. it's frustrating that intelligent human beings are still lying themselves into believing things we should have dumped as a species well over a thousand years ago.

The Big Bang describes the origin and evolutionary process of the physical cosmos we experience it now... but it does not describe why or how something spontaneously manifested from nothing.
What was before the big bang Chris?
Though there was a beginning to this physical universe, conscious existence had no beginning. This single existence we all make up has always been and always will be; in one form or another. Eternal, infinite existence.
What is south of the south pole? Where is under the center of the Earth? What was there before the existence of time?
Non sensical questions. Time begins at the big bang. There is no before time.
And nothing in science suggests the universe was EVER devoid of energy. Energy never came out nothing. Energy was already there in the beginning of time.
Only magical religious stories suggest energy being created out of nothing. The very point they argue against.
I'm glad I don't have the terrible burden of working for free for my 'God' - trying to conscript people for a lost and meaningless cause. I suddenly feel so free. Glad I don't work for a thankless, invisible, immaterial and demanding, bearded boss.
Faith is a virtue only to those who would mislead you. In case you haven't noticed, religion, especially the religions of Abraham, is all about controlling the masses through fear and intimidation. If you keep people afraid, you can make them do as you wish.
hitchens gets this spot on,Why should anyone respect any faith, its a ludicrous statement from any theologion, faith, like none belief should hold the same respect.
Lets all get a grip and stop believing in angels and walking on water,we all know its garbage from the past.
Reality is the way forward, perhaps the Higgs boson will sort this supesticious mess out.
The first part of the video is clearly a "highlights" video or a trailer. It keeps repeating the first video because the first video have snippets of the entire interview.
It appears that the first video was a sort of highlight reel for the rest of the program. I'm not drunk, and I heard the bit about compulsory love in the last video, for the second time. Also at the beginning of this video he says "I instantly lose some respect for them" in reference to someone saying "I'll pray for you", that was in the first video and this one as well.

This is religion in a nut-shell. It's just a bloody bronze-age chain letter.
