Omg, your shirt is awesome. I have been a fan of the Illusion of Gaia, Soul Blader, and Terranigma games since I played them. They are some of the most awesome RPGs ever created.

Great review as always. It extends to related games and is entertaining, but also retains emphasis on Soul Blazer. I enjoy how it seemed like you focused on Soul Blazer by EITHER describing it's specific mechanics, or comparing it to related material.

I just bought this game a local chain store for $3.97. Either the corporate employees setting the prices for the chain are ignorant, or they are trying to get rid of all SNES media. Either way, customers win!

I finally beat Soul Blazer earlier this year after owning it for many years. I enjoyed it as a kid and wanted to complete that bond (lol) by beating it as a matured 18-year old (now 19). My thoughts? Eh. Wasn't that bad. Some fun moments, but the game was ridiculously easy because monsters always seemed to wanna attack me in single file as I lit their asses up with magic, which was also kind of a pain to use. Also, the music was average and the theme for Dr. Leo's Lab was horrible.

But, like I said, it really wasn't that bad of a game. I did enjoy some parts, the boss battles were kinda neat (but impossible to lose if you knew where to stand and attack), and the game's overall resurrection theme was nice, especially for its time, what with it being a video game in the 90's and all that. I started playing Illusion of Gaia a few months back but didn't get too far... perhaps I should beat it so I can get to Terranigma, a game that just looks awesome.

love this games I pass this one and illusion of Gaia as well those games are awesome love those games man I hope I can get a SNES and those games to play them again, Oh man I hate dark cloud why because the weapons always broke that was kind of a bummer maybe I dint get deep in to find a better weapon.

This series wasn't the straw the broke my back get it, since i'd known of the trilogy beforehand, but i've since gotten a copy of Illusion of Gaia after watching the original Gems vid. Soul Blazer.... not so much. Hard lil' bugger to find, that one.

@Kefka44 Perhaps... :) I will say it's a lot cheaper than an English PAL version. And it works in the North American SNES too.

@ClanOfTheGrayWolf Not trying to get on my soapbox but, I have enough trouble getting through Final Fantasy IV in Japanese; not on of my finer moments. I might look into a Reproduction Cartridge but I can't really see myself shelling out $80-$100 for one.
