Saw them live in'91 with Judas Priest and Alice Cooper...Ironically enough this song is a tribute to Alice Cooper...Cooper album...Lace and Whiskey...This rocks...kick ass concert..miss those days...
@muckyduck64, I think you're right about them being a little late to the game, but I'd also say they were very hit or miss. Their best songs are incredible, but they didn't have enough of them. Scared and Queen of the Nile never get old.
@BBRex Yes them 2 songs are permently on Ipod forever. They got good songs. But like every band. A few ones shine brighter. Crazy how the good ones always got left on the album but never played on radio.
@lostworldcomics Me too dude. I met a girl recently in her early 30's. We were hanging out, and tossing down a few. Started playing "name that band" and she through this song on. Then she played KIX's Cold Blood. I through Testament's Return To Serenity at her and she knew it right of the bat. I'm going to try to marry her.

Hard for Austin to break into the L.A. scene back then but these guys were paying dues way before grunge. Personally, I chose Agony Column over Nirvana...
guess i'm gonna need a vodka quick ..... i love these guys!!! straight up texas blues rock! i hung out with jason (singer) traci guns, and anthony corder (singer for tora tora) back in like 88 or 89 up in utic ny, out in the back of the stanley performing arts center. when "toys" la guns and tora tora all played together there!
My absolute favorite Halloween Tune. (No disrespect intended) This is and always will be the very best way to play guitars..drums...bass ...vocals!!!!! I really hate it when people type the lyrics in a comment. But.. I can't help it tubers...Man I really think, really think, that i think I like being scarrrreedddd. 0====):::::::::::::::::::::::>
@GrapeFlavor12 Their self titled album went gold in '89, and I can remember "Teas'n Pleas'n" and "Scared" getting fairly steady rotation on MTV and rock radio from '89 to say '91 or so. "Scared" was also popular around Halloween into the early '90s. Kind of an odd band because their sound is Southern hard rock while their look is closer to hair metal. Then again that whole '89-'91 window was kind of weird, hard to explain if you weren't there.
@GrapeFlavor12 These guys were discovered too late in the game to hit it big. At the time this record hit the shelves hair metal was already being pushed out the door by the grunge movement. Teas'n Pleas'n and Scared would wind up being their only " minor " hits. It didn't help that they kept changing guitarists either. Unreal that they stuck it out and are still touring - with the original group members too.
This song just kicks ass. I met a girl recently who tried to stump me by playing this song. Heard about 1 1/2 seconds and told her who the band was and name of song. Her eyes and mine just lit up. Gonna marry her......
favorite band since i was 15!!! got to hang with jason and mike at lucys in austin 2000. very cool people. jason set us up with a drummer and studio for an album i was working on... no rockstar shit at all... just grab a beer and hang out! jason mike and bruce were cool as fuck will never forget that week!
Think if they would of made more songs like this they would have made it bigger. Little too much screaming but that was the hair band way. They werent that good at it. Their music was outstanding!!!
This is my fave song by Dangerous Toys, and a cool video too; still have never seen anything as surreal as a guy's head coming out of a pan on a stove. Gotta take a few cool points away from the singer, though, for wearing suspenders AND a belt, even though he tried to hide the suspenders under the shirt.
fuckin classic i was 19 in 1989 i remember i was in prison and this was on the mtv top video countdown along with skid row-i remember you bang tango-someone like you warrant down boys and danger danger bang bang and naughty naughty
@cheerbear237 i no feel the same way who cares about those show right i myself was on TV i was on MTV TRL BACK IN 01 my last year in high school there were intervewing kids about the GRAMMYES and with all the interview they pick TO show on tv i was one of them 15 hour fame
@THEATREofPAIN270 i agree, my variety consists of hair metal, thrash metal, and death metal, you just gotta find the good bands in each genre and dangerous toys is a siiick hair band
@LordXViper Dangerous Toys self titled album Dangerous Toys is such an underated album it makes me sick. The whole thing rocks. I grew up in a city where there were more metal heads than anything else & when I wore my DT shirt they were like who the hell are they. My reply, Spark one up, listen and learn you posers. LOL. Anyway, I agree, A variety is a good thing, Find what you like and jam on. Have a great one Dude. (or Dudette..

@XXfaithlaineXX If I may, According to Eddie Trunk on THAT METAL SHOW, Dangerous Toys tours and performs about 12 times per year, With jason doing alot of his solo stuff as well. Have a Great one....
One of my favorite 80s rock songs. It came at the end of the glam era and kinda got bypassed a little bit but it was an awesome song from a really good band.
this music got me through some very terrible times when i was 10 ''now 28'' i went to 14 funerals in 2 years , my whole family around me died as i knew it and this on tape in my sony walkman and just never listened to what was going on around me....... FEELS LIKE HAMMER COMING DOWN ON ME, FEELS LIKE A HAMMER.....
what pisses me off is the song is not available here in the usa but the video can be seen. dont get me wrong the video is great. but i just want to hear the song. i've had to delete it 7 times because it ends up "not availble in your region" i'll just watch the video. youtube is video sharing after all.
Hearing and SEEING this for the first time makes me feel so good. All those wasted years in the 80's. Great bands and scrappy ones. This one is still amazing!
I ALWAYS LOVED DANGEROUS TOYS. I REMEMBER THESE GUYS CAME TO MAINSTREAM RECORDS IN MILWAUKEE BACK IN 1987 WHEN DIFFERENT BANDS LIKE LIVING COLOR, RATT, AND DANGEROUS TOYS AND U MET ALL THE BANDS AND GOT AUTOGRAPHS. THESE GUYS WERE AWESOME!!!!
@kurtlovato you need to learn your music man! Guns N Roses formed in 1985, Live like a Suicide came out in 86 and Appetite in 87! this song came out in 89! Axl was already doin this long before Jason was.
@AxlFaux1 oh jeez.....pull the flag out your ass.....if not the pole.......igrew up down th street from mr. wlliam bailey ....hes a prick that just grew bigger.....love his music......but what an asshole!!!!
@markosborne1969 Pole out of my ass? You made the stupid ass comment that Axl ripped off Jason! Get the fuckin pole out your ass!! WOW you grew up down the street next to Mr. Bailey!! wanna fuckin cookie?? Oh if he's a prick, must be in the Indiana water system cause ya sound like one too!
This is my favorite off of the CD or should i say TAPE cause that's what i had back then!!!! I remember when MTV had no commercials!!! Showing my age (38) but this was a part of the soundtrack to my life and the good times!!! and just wondering how many of you use to sing out loud to that vocal break right before the end? I KNOW I DID
@metalironbird Hell ya bro! My band back then played this song, teasin and outlaw... and we all went to see them in Eugene Oregon with Tora Tora and La guns, one of the best fucking shows ever!!! I have the clown Tattooed on my back even I loved these guys...
@metalironbird Im with ya man.. I saw the lead singer Jason Mcmasters a while back and he was still rockin. Some dont know but texas country guy Kevin Fowler played guitar and backing vocals for a few years.. :)
@metalironbird Hell yes I love this song. I still remember "finding" DT at Front Row records in Jacksonville Illinois summer of 89. This was indeed soundtrack to our summer.
I got caught singing/howling McMasters outro vocals from 3:25 on, in my semi the other day. At a stop light. I ruled, but it was embarassing. At least i thought i was rulin', i dunno. The jury is still out.
Just bought this album on Amazon. The vocal work on this track is mind boggling especially at the very end of the song. Amazing guitar work and a well-rounded sound from an amazing band that is no more.
megaton118, It has nothing to do with the video card; it's only happened since youtube switched to this VEVO crap. Not sure what they are going for, but it really does suck. I realize it's free, blah, blah, blah, but they aren't helping themselves with the slowness.
Youtube destroys so many videos when they choke off bandwidth. Wonder why your videos are choppy and suddenly stop every five seconds? That's because Youtube thinks home videos of kittens taking a dumb is more important than quality music. Bandwidth for everything else is non-essential. The "caching to play" videos has become intolerable.
this band along with tora tora, sleez beez and many others made the 80s-90s worth living
