@41381jls Those towers were built anticipating high-speed impacts from multi-ton aircrafts, and were meant to still remain standing. It said so in the video, if you would have taken 5 minutes from your day to watch it. The towers were hit by a plane, obviously devastating to that location. The towers burned for 50 minutes, respectively, then they collapsed. In order for a collapse to even be remotely believable, serious structural damage greater than a plane can deliver must have been sustained.
@lordcakedude75 The titanic was made in 1908-1912, only had one watch guard for the whole boat, and was unsinkable in the case of a head-on collision, not a side-swipe motion, like what happened. Poor foresight in construction of a boat is incomparable to a literal impossibility in the case of a collision of the given magnitude of 9/11.

Considering that the collapse begins at the point of impact (and no lower floors move until the momentum reaches them), that means that for a controlled demolition to be possible, someone would either have to known exactly where the plane would hit and place charges there, or place charges in the middle of a massive fire.
Also, real controlled demolitions explode at the bottom so as to utilize gravity. They don't start from the top and travel down. A 10-minute google search would reveal this.
@shananagans5 I know, arent these guys insane??. The floors did not simply become "detached" and slide down like hoops on a stick, the word pancake is missleading. They floors simply sagged, pulling these "invincible" central columns to one side, removing their vertical strength. These verticals were not 400 meter long solid lengths from the ground upwards, they were simply managable lengths bolted together end to end with terrible lateral strength without the additional support.

You are pushing the materials ultimate ability & the design of the structure is critical. You are relying on exact placement of the beams & triangulation for support, not just the strength of the steel. @mark9021 30% of this building was still larger than an entire normal building. Consider the size of foundations required for normal buildings. And those foundations are that huge to support a resting weight, not for the building to "drop" onto them. Now imagine you are expecting even greater strength from "Non" foundational base 2/3 way up a building. When you think of it that way, the building stood no chance.

@mark9021 that is answered above by BrocTheMagnifico. This 30% of the building you mention did not fall and instantly crush the remaining 70%. It fell and caused the same thing to happen to next "length" also collecting extra mass in the process like a snow ball, causing critical failure. As it fell the speed increased the mass increased the momentum drastically increased and after that point the steel did not need to be weakened it was not in any way designed to support such an impact

Even the top 1/3 of the building is a huge mass & when the collapse starts it has the effect of drastically drastically increasing the weight & as it goes it gathers more mass,more speed,more energy. I don't race anymore but I still play & fabricate suspensions & diff components. The high carbon stuff will lose a great deal of strength once it is bent while it is cool & it was cool at first impact. Then with it bent even slightly you lose the ability to carry the load over. Then throw in the heat. Even 1,000 degrees will weaken it further.

I've done engineering of buildings as a past time, you do know that steel heated to within half its melting point loses more then 70% of its durability right? That at 70% durability loss, it wouldn't be able to hold up the building

@Aticston FYI That's why steel and metal smiths can heat a piece of steel, then are able to shape it with tools, it doesn't have to reach its melting point, but it loses all its strength when heated past 50% of its melting point

Jesus christ, the steel didn't fucking melt ok. Why do people still push this as a flawed argument? It expandeded and deformed under the heat and detached from the outer columns. These columns were then left with no lateral support so they buckled and failed. The core got pulled down with the collapsing floors. It's not as straight forward as what this professor says.
@PineappleExpressing Try looking it up. There have been others collapse. And they didn't even have debris falling on them beforehand or a giant lobby that makes structural engineering difficult. Yea, they took an accidental collision into account. They assumed a collision would be accidental with a jet going 200mph, not an intentional collision with a jet going 500+mph. You double the velocity, you quadruple the transferred energy. That's a HUGE factor the buildings simply couldn't withstand.

The only Logical theory of how the towers fell is a Nuclear demolition explosive planted under the foundation of the twin towers. As for pulverising the concrete into dust the cement mix that is added to gravel to make concrete is a heavy kind of dust. If you ever break concrete or crack it, saw it or drill into it you get a large amount of dust.

The structure beneath where the planes hit was destroyed from the floors above it falling and crushing the concrete and steel frame. There was jet fuel in wtc 7, it was called diesel fuel used for generators and the building was heavily damaged by the falling wtc 2 and on fire.

It said so in the video, if you would have taken 5 minutes from your day to watch it. The towers were hit by a plane, obviously devastating to that location. The towers burned for 50 minutes, respectively, then they collapsed. In order for a collapse to even be remotely believable, serious structural damage greater than a plane can deliver must have been sustained.

Considering that the collapse begins at the point of impact (and no lower floors move until the momentum reaches them), that means that for a controlled demolition to be possible, someone would either have to known exactly where the plane would hit and place charges there, or place charges in the middle of a massive fire.
Also, real controlled demolitions explode at the bottom so as to utilize gravity. They don't start from the top and travel down. A 10-minute google search would reveal this.

1. It isn't just jet fuel, it is carpeting, furniture, wiring etc..
2. This was not an open air hydrocarbon fine. It was a closed fire with a lot of wind current and alternative fuels to bun the fire much hotter.
3. You don't have to burn steel to collapse, you simply need to weaken it to where it bends.
Read about First America fire in L.A. 1990's. The Spain fire was about 30 stories tall, First America 60+ stories and WTC 110 stories.

They floors simply sagged, pulling these "invincible" central columns to one side, removing their vertical strength. These verticals were not 400 meter long solid lengths from the ground upwards, they were simply managable lengths bolted together end to end with terrible lateral strength without the additional support.

It fell and caused the same thing to happen to next "length" also collecting extra mass in the process like a snow ball, causing critical failure. I don't race anymore but I still play & fabricate suspensions & diff components. The high carbon stuff will lose a great deal of strength once it is bent while it is cool & it was cool at first impact. Then with it bent even slightly you lose the ability to carry the load over. Then throw in the heat. Even 1,000 degrees will weaken it further.

Jesus christ, the steel didn't fucking melt ok. Why do people still push this as a flawed argument? It expandeded and deformed under the heat and detached from the outer columns. These columns were then left with no lateral support so they buckled and failed. The core got pulled down with the collapsing floors. It's not as straight forward as what this professor says.

Yea, they took an accidental collision into account. They assumed a collision would be accidental with a jet going 200mph, not an intentional collision with a jet going 500+mph. You double the velocity, you quadruple the transferred energy. That's a HUGE factor the buildings simply couldn't withstand.

The only Logical theory of how the towers fell is a Nuclear demolition explosive planted under the foundation of the twin towers. And No this would not wipe out a city; because it is underground and it blocked by the ground which has a massive resistance. I highly doubt that an tnt could cause an earthquake before the buildings collapsed, only a nuclear underground bomb can do this. As for pulverising the concrete into dust the cement mix that is added to gravel to make concrete is a heavy kind of dust. If you ever break concrete or crack it, saw it or drill into it you get a large amount of dust.

I can't believe anyone needs this explained. You can see during the collapse air coming out between the floors when they are squashed one at a time from the weight above. The walls were made of sections that were just bolted together and without the floors to hold them rigid they were easily knocked apart by the thousands of tons of steel and concrete falling from above.
