Well it was a long story.

The producers wanted to make a drift movie, but because Vin drives muscle cars, there was no way he could do it. He wanted to change it to pick up where it left off but the producers wouldnt budge on their decision.

Vin walked out on it but agreed to do the little end part to show there was a next one.
