  • Nice to see your collector's record player. You are lucky to own it.

  • I grew up listening to this song and ALL Paul's songs when I was kid ...my father a Huge fan of Paul's back in Peru.

  • Love the video. My mom had that exact same record player. Great childhood memories.

  • GREAT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)

  • this song reminds me of my ex. she was always into these old music.

  • aww :(

  • thank youuuuuuuuuuuuu

  • warm feelings come up again

  • God do I connect with this song. I used to play it over and over while on the telephone to my girl friend back in 1962. I loved her so so much. We married in 1967. Then I was drafted in March of 68. After I got out in Oct. of 68' we divorced in early 1970. What a shock! I' never understand women. I guess it was me who was so in love. I still can't believe it.

  • You being away really did not help. You should have found more importance in your wife rather than being out helping destroy the world and creating gains for the rich man,

  • @6silhouette5 sorry to hear that. She didn't like the fact that you were drafted? But hey, at least it wasn't the "Dear John..." letter. I know a guy who ended up being a section 8 (He went nuts) during Vietnam. He just came back with the rest of his platoon from the fields (Fighting VC) and got a letter from his wife: "Dear John: I no longer wish to be in love with you and have found someone else." He grabbed an M16 and tried to commit suicide. Never heard from him again. Sucks to be him.

  • @6silhouette5 Went through nearly the same. After the NAM. I should have taken my HS Love, from the beginning.

  • @6silhouette5 lovely story!! :-)

  • classic record player!!

my dad used to sing this song to me when i'd cry

he'd always rock me to sleep with this song

    this brought so much memories

  • nice clear...like the old player

and how you twiddle the switch....;)

  • que delicia de musica , é tao bom ouvir essas musicas antigas, eu sou de 1990

  • yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhh.........i love this time

  • What a nice classic machine. It's a masterpice!. Another Philips made to last !

  • Just wonderin why you are here !!!!

  • CAUSE PAUL ANKA IS LEGEND.

  • And is a CANADIAN from OTTAWA!

We are the same age - he was a homely little Jewish guy and at 15 wote & song DIANA ....sold millions! Very disappointed that he divorced after raising such beautiful family & his wife was gorgious. He made an idol of money, himself & his music instead of focusing on his family - very very sad.

  • I love this song :)

    I'm 18 by the way :P

    Is this bad??

  • Uh why exactly would it be bad for you to have good taste in music, unlike the majority of todays society?

  • haha i fucking love how you did this

  • hahah! i know! i wish i had one! lol

  • OMG ILOVE DIS SONG

  • the greatest make out song of my youth

  • STUPENDA...ho scelto questo video per il giradischi...CHE BELLO!!!!

  • Grandeee!!!!

  • thanks for the upload, the original music....great..

  • Every generation has something to worry about but I do agree with the preference for music of the 40s, 50,and 60s. I used to dance like crazy, Now I can't stand modern music except R&B

  • Questo è un mito nella storia della "Blue Jeans Music" americana lui deve esserci di diritto.

  • ZAZZLE. COM/FACTORYPROJECT

  • I'm very jealous of your cool record player, I've been looking for one like that for the past 2 years

  • very cool!

  • Aaah I, too, wish that I was there with all these beautiful songs playing.. Even so, I will be so faraway, in Asia... Dreaming... :D

  • It is true that there were wars an few other things, but nothing like the present with terrorism and economy.

  • put your head on my shoulder and i will love you all way

  • i wish i coulve of been there in the 50s & 60s. this is real music! b4 there werent a lot of wories or bad things in this world like now! I love oldies!!!

  • me too..i wish i was back in that time..:)

    so carefree!

  • Well apart from the Cold War, the Vietnam War, the fight for independence in Africa and the nuclear arms race that is!

But I agree - I'd gladly swap my life for a life in the 1950s.

  • @Georgiahulse

i so agree, a life in the 50's or even back to early 60's.......kids will never know what they missed, clean fun and walking to school safe. what a concept!

  • nice looking phonograph.

    i absolutely love this song.

  • k-erth 101 los angeles

  • paul!!! tu era feliz e não sabia.( ou sabia.....sei la rsrsrsr) ainda bem que vc não tem que escutar axé, funk, rap etc....

esse som é muito da hora!!!

  • nice nice nice nice ¡¡¡¡¡

  • Linda música, tocada nessa vitrolinha fica melhor ainda, dá pra sentir um pouco como era boa essa época.

  • 1958, I sort of remember it well. Slow dances...yeah baby!

  • where is the fonz.....wow :)))))

  • Radiongran56 thanks a lot, bless you.

  • i wish i had a turntable like that....

  • its a record player, yet not quite the same....

    i forget what theyre called

turntables are what dj's use, but they look the same so i see why you would be mistaken.

  • i think they were big for their portability because I remember when i was in elementary school we had a bunch of these (early 90's) that were quite similar... so maybe its technically a phonograph? earlier on I had called it a turntable because it has a table and it turns lol... I have a couple of dj friends and they refer to theirs as decks. so its hard to decide what it would actually be called without someone who actually knows coming out and telling us

  • theyre not turntables.

    They are 45 records.

  • well thanks but pretty sure thats the little disc of vinyl thats playing... but the machine thats playing it? isnt called a 45 record... but thanks for your input...

  • haha

    okkkkk

i just meant it was a 45 record player because they look smaller than the vinyls i have.

    just saying though

    thanks ferrrr tellin me

  • nice, 5*

  • i want to see the face to this sexy hand ^^

  • WOW! That's one cool disk player! Looks fantastic. Great music also ;)

  • One of the best songs I ever heard

  • I love paul anka!

  • The player is the kind of stuff you see at estate sales. I used to sell off estates/probate in the late 90's and have seen some nice things.

  • COOL!

  • sexy

  • i dont think it was 1959... he was born 1955.

  • This was does recorded in 1959.Paul Anka was born in 1941.

  • Paul Anka was born in 1941 and this song was recorded originally in 1959 and then rerecorded by him in the late 60's and early 70's.

  • oldies good forever.

  • ya like laying in your bed wondering when will I fall in love. playing the song for the

    19th time.

  • This is awesome. I grew up listening to this song as a kid, this is one of the few 45's of Paul Anka that my dad had.. or should say still has his 45's.

Thanks for sharing the oldies with us. :)

  • i love this song

  • lol,i love this vid and player, the player makes it even more sentimental kind of thing.i remember years ago listening to brand new records fresh out of the cardboard sleeve on this then so new and "in" record players,lol.45 rpm's,33 rpm's and 78 rpm's (most uncommon ones) thanks for the memories!!! great job!

  • crazy good!!

  • nice song! =)

where did you get the record player?

  • This is just sweeeet.....the innocence of these songs, gotta like it!

  • Antmenah writes,

Put your head on my shoulder!!!!!!!!!!

What an awesome kind of eternity in a song!!

It´s a young heart full o joy beating for ever through the light of time.

  • yay! ive been looking for this song! omg i luv thisssssssssssssss

  • HOW OLD IS THAT THANG?!

    ps great song

  • HA HA HA HA! That made me literally laugh out loud. Now THAT is a record player!

  • yes yes hahaha. That was a record player

  • Nothing like yeah the good old times

  • Seems like those old records just sound better on the old players. I have a Motorola console that was my Grandma's that she willed to me, and those old records still sound as good as the day they were pressed, makes me wonder what it'd have felt like had I lived in those times, hearing those songs on the radio for the first time.

  • se la dedico a andrea

  • Yes. Great, clean song.

  • Beautiful song Beautiful voice!

  • What a beautiful record player. I love how the frequencies for the radio stations are illuminated with a warm, orange backlight.

And of course, the music is wonderful. They really don't make 'em like this anymore.

  • OMG this songs..... How I hope to be in your arms my love

  • Oh your record player is really great!

  • i danced my first dance with a boy to this song and i still remember his name i was 5 thinking of you robert!
