  • $400 ia a bit much

  • @MegaDeathwarrant not for something that heats a 30x80 shop for next to nothing once you have it built, you still need some suplement heat but it does the majority of the heating

  • very nice but what do you do at night? I mean how do you seal up the intake and exhaust??? thanks

  • @WickedCustomz we dont do anything the metal fins automatically close when the panel turns off, we dont worry about any temps we're losing there because we lose so much heat with the big overhead doors

  • @AllenTrucks could you give me a bit more information on how you close the metal fins? do they close electrically?

  • @WickedCustomz they open when the fan turns on due to air pressure. one gets sucked open and the other gets pushed open if you want me to i could send you a video of how they work

  • @AllenTrucks Yes I would love to see a video of how this works thanks man

  • @WickedCustomz as soon as we get a sunny day and its running i'll make a video for ya

  • @AllenTrucks thank you I look forward to it! :)

  • @WickedCustomz i sent you a message i need your email to send you the video

  • great job, to cut costs if one is really serious and committed about this adding a solar heating system is to paint the side of your garage then build a simple, frame on your garage side , cover that with the plastic. You save on all the structure associated with the panel, and the foam and the ducts run.

the panel does not have to be inclined to the sun as the sun is lower in the sky in the winter anyways.

    payback is an important variable.

  • @mjbride1 it dropped a good amount but a lot of the time we just shut off the other heat and just used the panel

  • what temps are you getting?

  • @richallenmusic if you watch my video HOMEMADE AIR HEAT SOLAR PANEL COST $400 i have the temps during the day in the video and what the high and low temps were for the panel and the shop

now we are making higher temps because we added onto the panel and if you watch my video "how to build an air heat solar panel" we show you how to build the panel and how we added it to the original panel
