Why is our team going to the playoffs? Not because of Maxwell or Cava or Hornby. We're going because of the guys who do have talent like Jackson, Hooton, Aikins and Monych. Do you think we'd be where we are without the hard work put forth by guys like Kyrzakos and Demianiuk? I don't ever brag about our guys when they injure another player.
Just because we play harder than your guys and aren't afraid of checking hard (with the exception of your guy's hit on Lindstrom that broke the glass) doesn't make us a goon team. Our guys that fight are Maxwell, Hornby and Cava. Can you even call Maxwell or Cava goons? Now, Hornby... there's a reason why we have him, and that's because we need someone to protect guys like Aikins, Hooton and Jackson. You gotta have at least one guy who can kick some butt.
I agree we don't have many guys who are c onsidered tough guys and can't put hits on others like Cava and Maxwell, but again how many guys on the roadrunners team have the overall hockey skills that Bako has? I think many would agree that the answer to that is none. Again records and playoff seedings are a great example. So go ahead brag, gloat, and keep cheering on those Roadrunners they need something to boost their team moral..
That's ok because that seems all that the roadrunners can do these days is take cheap shots. They just cant' seem to win many hockey games. But hey you guys are the kings of cheap shots and poor sportsmanship cngrats on that.
Love those roadrunners. At least there is a positive thing for phoenix fans, you guys still have you-tube to watch video during the off season. Just keep thinking there's always next year!!!
