I know lots of trait and follower for generals, Diplomats, Merchants, Spys, Priests, Assassins, Princess, Captains, and i know how to play as Rebels, Papal States, Aztecs, Mongols, Timurids, and Saxons! but saxons dont have priests and sea ships.... :(

I was Spain and I didnt like the pope because he got more votes than my cardinal ,so i tried to assassinate him. My assassin died and the next turn there was a crusade called against Naples, one of the cities in Italy under my control, previously under Sicily's control. I got mad. I attacked the rest of Italy and Killed the Pope. I was the Reconciled and everyone was happy, apart form France who wanted Paris Back from my control.

So everything worked out Just great...

The one thing out of three things i dont like in this(these, total war) games is...

Well, when you order a troop to attack enemy troop they run and then just 5-10 man fights and others are behind. Same when you order 2 troops to attack the same enemy troop, they just make a massive jam (like traffic jam lol) and your second troop cant even come to the enemy's. You need to order 1 troop to attack and the other to move behind them and then click the attack -.- Which is hard if the battle ismassive

did you notice that there are some differences between the trailers and the real game that we play....I mean in the character's appearance,campaign map, buildings that are for Rome total war are here(how???)....For me this is very interesting, and if someone knows how to do that , please tell???....I thank that a lot of people think the same...

@1panzerfaust I made the HRE the Popes favorite nation by spamming priests and forming alliances with EVERYONE

I now control over half of the Cardinal College and got a pope elected by a landslide

Ironically, the Pope hated me for a while :P

@TrimiXt invade it straight away allies of the pope will attack your villages castles and settlements i make sure i got a good empire before i wage war on allies and start my plan on world domination!!!!! i would try to ally myself with the popes enemys so when i turn on pope i still have allys and iam not on my own its not just hey look a city i want it attack them

I remember one Campaign as Spain, I didn't bother having Rome in Papal control and so I invaded Rome, and since then I slaughtered all the popes until I could only elect my own ones. I think it was a big glitch in the game, made everything too easy.

What do you mean you can't play in a fort with 3 levels of defence? If you mean you can't take the inner wall's of a citadel then move your battering ram into the city to smash the last gate.

it is a bit like spqr in rome but there is no people there is only the pope and i dont think u can overthrow the pope =]
