Truthfully I doubt thats the reason but if I had to guess, that would be why. If I just didn't enjoy the music my band was making, I'd offer a change and if they disagreed I would leave. Its certainly a possible outcome.

It remains a mystery why he left but I respect Periphery's privacy, and I'm just saying that it certainly could have been a possibility. Although its more likely Alex just wanted to move on to a different style of music that they did not, and left because of it, like I said before. Perhaps it was for personal reasons, who knows.

Anyone ever noticed how off a live recording sounds when recorded straight from a camera mic? I have NEVER heard a good live recording done in this manner, not even from some of the best live acts. Cam mics can't really capture a nice live mix. Just a thought =)
Speaking as a drummer, Matt Halpern needs to just calm the fuck down a bit. Too much noodling in the beginning, and too much drum presence in general. In the studio recording, there are breaks in the drum part that really intensify when the drums come in, and all of these guys have a very impressive sense of time, so why keep count with the hi-hat? Just let the guitarists have a little breathing room for christ's sake. We know you are good Matt, just calm it down.

on 720p the vocals becomes better? Because at that quality I hear a good performance, honestly. But I remember watching this video some days ago at a lower quality and the vocal performance was pretty bad.

Honestly, none of the singers have been able to really put on a truly good vocal performance. Shitty live vocals is just par for the course for this type of music. If it were any other style of music, the singer would get boo'd off the stage, in non-heavy genres, singers are expected to actually hit the correct notes.

on 720p the vocals becomes better? Because at that quality I hear a good performance, honestly. But I remember watching this video some days ago at a lower quality and the vocal performance was pretty bad.

there wasn't much moving around or being crazy on stage either.
his voice wasnt perfect but thats fine, singing is hard as fuck. screams were fucking awesome. all the guitars were good

Honestly, none of the singers have been able to really put on a truly good vocal performance. Shitty live vocals is just par for the course for this type of music. If it were any other style of music, the singer would get boo'd off the stage, in non-heavy genres, singers are expected to actually hit the correct notes.
