its not supost to idle that high...usaully the clutch engages and the sled starts movin at 4 grand

ya maybe on a trail sled......the race sleds are clutched to engage about 5000 rpms give or take

still shouldnt idle that high trust me i work with race sleds all day...and yea i agree they engage between 5 and 6 grand...and nice looking sled btw i like the red and black together looks good.

sled looks good. i dont think your idle issue is from the temp. it sounds like it may have an air leak or the throttle cables a little to tight. just be careful you dont want that engine to grenade after all the time and money you just put into it. nice sled have fun this winter.

What kind of paint did you use on your A Arms and your rear suspensions? Just regular spray paint?

the guy at my local auto body shop said that would handle the enviorments better

if the chips arent too bad and you have alot of time on your hands you can get some light sand paper and sand the hood down and then paint it with some good outdoor plastic paint...i did 3 coats of color and 3 coats of clear....on the metal parts i used rust-oleom automotive enamel
