Let's not forget that MJ has advanced vitiligo, which genetically destroys pigment and melanin. Melanin is the chemical that adds to darker features. A person with advanced vitiligo are in a recessive state when they reproduce - this means that the genetics of the other parent will be most dominant; that's why MJ kids don't look as black!

You're obviously not familiar with American law as there is nothing illegal about a civil settlement. Civil trials aren't about criminal guilt (or innocence). They don't prosecute anyone. Besides, it was Evan Chandler who made a settlement deal with Jackson's insurer. Chandler did this shortly after Michael refused to retract pictures of his genitals from the trial.
@A86 So because OJ was acquitted in a criminal trial, you believe him to be innocent? The burden of proof in a civil trial is far less than a criminal one. You only need a preponderance of the evidence (over 50%) to gauge responsibility. That means that you believe someone to be guilty more likely than not. People who settle civil cases do so to hush the crimes they commit. Thats why they have confidentiality agreements.

Even if OJ didn't do it at the end of the day two people are still dead so we KNOW a crime took place regardless of who did it. A confidentiality agreement is an agreement to not talk to the media about the details of a civil case. Such agreements specifically state both sides can still be subpoenaed to testify in criminal court about any criminal/penal issues related to the civil case. Jackson and Chandler's civil settlement document states exactly the same thing and states no penalty against Chandler for doing so.
@MrWhitey101 - Signing a document agreeing not to testify to the police or a jury in a criminal case, or making someone sign one, is a first-class felony (Obstruction of Justice). Such a crime would be charged as a separate case. No court in the nation would grant such a document. Confidentiality agreements in civil cases have to be viewed and approved by the government and are signed by the government. Jackson and Chandler's was signed by the Superior Court of the State of California.

Shortly after Jackson refused Chandler made a deal with Jackson's insurer and settled the case against Jackson's power.

Not only did Evan Chandler made a deal with Jackson's insurer there was no way Jackson could hide anything by January 1994. Jackson's house was searched. Forensics showed no signs of molestation. The Chandlers finally cooperated for a while with the criminal investigation and 2 grand juries refused to indict Jackson due to lack of evidence.

He never gave the Chandlers or the Arvizos a dime of his own personal money other than the money he let them leech off of when he was friends with them before they had a falling-out. In both cases he ran straight to criminal court and filed countersuits against the families while the families fled from the criminal investigations.
It depends on the DA. I said politician and lawyers are often scumbags and so are some DAs. Sneddon was a scummy DA but not all DAs were. I was involved in a case down here in Maryland some years ago and the DA who handled that case was pretty good. At least to me and the people involved in that case.

Let's not forget that MJ has advanced vitiligo, which genetically destroys pigment and melanin. Melanin is the chemical that adds to darker features. A person with advanced vitiligo are in a recessive state when they reproduce - this means that the genetics of the other parent will be most dominant; that's why MJ kids don't look as black!

You only need a preponderance of the evidence (over 50%) to gauge responsibility. That means that you believe someone to be guilty more likely than not. People who settle civil cases do so to hush the crimes they commit. Thats why they have confidentiality agreements.

A confidentiality agreement is an agreement to not talk to the media about the details of a civil case. Such agreements specifically state both sides can still be subpoenaed to testify in criminal court about any criminal/penal issues related to the civil case. Jackson and Chandler's civil settlement document states exactly the same thing and states no penalty against Chandler for doing so.

The perjury charge was about whether or not he planted evidence, and if he used that racial slur. Using a slur is not a crime. Only civil cases can be settled. Two - Evan Chandler settled the case with Michael's insurance company a few days after Michael refused to retract the pictures of his genitals. If the pictures of MIchael's genitals were probative against Michael why would Chandler want the pictures barred?

If a man supposedly molested his child then why would he actively work to prevent this man from being prosecuted and going to jail? Why just ask him for money and offer to not even go to court if he gives you money under the table? (Chandler demanded $20 million from Jackson twice for a 3-movie deal before he filed a lawsuit)
And most of all - if Michael was guilty why didn't Michael run from the criminal trial?

@MrWhitey101 - A criminal trial can actually put him in jail. A civil trial can't (and Evan Chandler closed the civil trial when things weren't in his favor). And if Michael supposedly molested someone how the hell did he do it without leaving any forensic, physical or video evidence (his bedroom has security cameras) or witnesses (there were people in the room with when Jordan was over)? If the Chandler's stories were true there would be forensic evidence (i.e. semen) all over the place.

Genetics says that she got the blue eyes from both Joe & Debbie. The blue eye gene is recessive, meaning you only express blue eyes if you inherit from two sides -it has a genotype of bb. If someone has brown eyes, they have a dominant B gene, either Bb or BB. Michael has brown eyes - because his dad has blue eyes (bb) & his mom has brown (BB), he has a mixed genotype of Bb. Debbie has blue eyes, so hers is bb. One of her b's & Michael's recessive b combined, thus Paris=blue eyes.
