Nothin personal, cause i do like your work and your videos :) , but art is about experimenting and creating, not making or producing. lol just thought it was funny
I agree, but I do art! I have stopped all novelty production runs, as of a long time ago, hell I hate the constant bull shit that people wanting to get into glass art using glass production to raise the money to build a good studio. to be honest, your thought process seems flawed to me, my videos are just that, videos. and do not represent anything of my glass art or glass studio, hell, I think most of you don't even get who Bobby is, you just watch the videos and make snap judgments.-(
oh, yes, and how can you claim to decide what merits art? art is SUBJECTIVE! not definable. so what gives? and when did it become an issue for a glass artist to acuallty use his or her artisan skills to make money?
its quality I focus on, and boom is a big word and I would more call it a succesful start up. nothing more. people seem to think I have it perfect, Im just another bobby trying to figure out how to make my way. though I really have just about given up on tobacco novelties, the market it so saturated and junky with imports that its just not worth the time and raw glass in many cases. I have been pushing more and more into fine art sculptural and free form exploration.
hmmm, I am working on direct website galleries for my website, that will probably be the best route for where you live, I am not producing tobbacco novelties for "production distribution" any more its just not worth it. the import market has made it non profit type work. so I am on to other things. plus there is a whole social stigma that makes an artist choose to be all novelties or all art. for me, art wins.
thank you my friend. I have not seen a video from you in a while? I miss your working style, so solid, so focused, so fast!-) actually, have you ever done a tutorial on basic human form stuff? I want to learn to sculpt little people for my goblet stems!-) I think I could handle it now. what do you think?
great words. Im starting a manufaturing buseness doing bowls and sleeves for distributors and shops. dont forget to make PHONE CALLS PHONE CALLS PHONE CALLS!!!
its all about the marketing, phone, internet, magazine, you name it, find ways to get your products right in front of the buyers, and you have a chance. Go for it, I cant wait to see how you do.

Wow. Whatever you're smoking, lower the dosage.
You've taken a simple suggestion on how a small business can help keep itself in the black and found connections to global conspiracies.

does any of your glass make it to southern oregon?
if so could you give the name of the shop(s)
Id like to check out your glass. From the sounds of it, sounds like youve got a boom in business so ur work must be quality.
