Great version of Phil Ochs song "Changes". Phil had many beautiful melodies. I am certain had he lived he would have thrived in today's Americana music scene. Sadly under-rated & in some cases forgotten, his music does endure quietly by people like Gene Clark. This is the only thorn I have with Bob Dylan -- he should have worked more closely with Phil. That was a friendship that should have worked. I don't know why Dylan & Ochs became like oil & vinegar. It should not have been.
@lastrada52 Phil suffered from serious psychiatric problems that went untreated. After his mugging in Africa he lost it and blamed his troubles on everyone especially the CIA who Phil was convinced was after him. (If you asked the CIA they would have said with total sincerity "who is Phil Ochs"). I suspect that his behavior had a lot to do with his friendship and career problems.

Phil was a great songwriter .. just a little better than Bobby D. Someone should post Phil's full version of Changes.
